Which is your favorite drama movie?

I know there are lots and lots of folks here who like action or action adventure movie. drama movies are slightly on the slower side. So name you favorite at least 2. Mine are Forrest Gump followed by A theory of everything.

American beauty or Shawshank Redemption if that counts as a Drama.

Runner-ups: Pulp Fiction, Schinder's List, Fight Club, Forrest Gump.

The Godfather (first one). It's also my favorite movie of all time.

Grave of the Fireflies and 5 Centimetres Per Second, I cried like a baby at both.

Downfall is a really good movie as well actually. Only saw that recently but it blew me away. Does a great job of giving the impression of how stupid and what a waste it all amounted too in the end.

I don't really know what kind of films qualify as 'drama' films but I'm pretty sure I only watch movies like that. I hate action films.

The Kings Speech immediately comes to mind. Superb film.

Shawshank Redemption. That movie is untouchable, for me. It's really a classic tale of one troubled man helping another troubled man find his salvation. Its emotional depth resonates a lot more with me than most movies. It might be one of the only movies where I'm glad the studio got their way with the ending rather than the director. Stephen King's endings (and almost all of his contributions) are a little "samey" (in this case, the ending message is unfortunately way too similar to his novella 'The Mist').

Oh, i thought you was putting my movie down, lol .. I got confused, my bad.

P.S. I Love You... it is the only movie that has me crying from start to finish no matter how many times I've seen it.

Jaws - great action movie but the Indianapolis scene always blows me away.
