So, am I the only one that thought The Passion was terrible? I want to know why watching a guy, who happens to be our savior, get tortured and slowly die for two hours is entertaining. I'm roman catholic and I thought it was bad. On topic, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, got me going pretty good when Sam and Frodo crawled up Mt. Doom. Saving Private Ryan also jerked a few tears at the end massacre.Lion King.
Fox and the Hound.
Also, i'm not very religious but The Passion.MuddVader
Boys don't cry. We just try to laugh about it and cover it all up with lies.psychobrewYes, boys try and look as lacking in emotion as possible. Men, however, are not afriad to reveal their emtions.
Braveheart made me cry like a little girl.
I came close with the Pianist (One of the best movies ever made, IMO)
The closest I've been to crying during a movie in recent years was when I watched "My Sister's Keeper." And I was pretty close. I honestly don't remember the last movie that made me full blown cry, though.
Bridges of Madison County was a tear jerker for me... as well as is It's a Wonderful Life. I cry everytime I watch the ending!

How can you watch that movie and not cry? It was one of the saddest films I have ever seen. The closest I've been to crying during a movie in recent years was when I watched "My Sister's Keeper." And I was pretty close. I honestly don't remember the last movie that made me full blown cry, though.

[QUOTE="Pixel-Pirate"]agreed maybe its because we have experienced the passing of a pet?Marley & Me. The ending was very sad to me.

For me it was because at the time I had just got a puppy who looked very very similar to the dog in the movie, so it felt like...personal...I guess.
I think if I go into a movie knowing it is going to be sad, I won't cry. For example: Precious, The Blind Side, My Sister's Keeper (although to be fair, My Sister's Keeper had me in a state of almost-crying for about an hour and a half). However, if I go in and I'm not expecting it to be sad...
Like Up. Went in opening weekend pumped for the new Pixar movie, and within the opening 10 minutes I was crying my eyes out for the first time in 5 years. The fact that they managed to do that in an animated film in the opening scene is astounding.
Live shows are more likely to get to me emotionally however. I saw Rent with some of the original cast in Chicago in April, and there are moments in the show that are just heartbreaking. In the Heights (which is on tour and I highly recommend) is surprisingly touching, and Next to Normal almost made me have a full on breakdown in the middle of the Booth Theatre.
I don't really cry at movies...
The closest I've come was a couple of scenes in Pursuit of Happyness (particularly the subway bathroom one), and more recently the opening montage of Up.
Other than that, nada. What can I say, I'm cold and heartless. I go "oh, that's pretty sad..." and i feel a little sad, but i never cry.
lol. Damn this guy got banned :(Friday the !3th Part four. I lost it when Jason was killed.

Crumbs I can't remember crying to a film since I was a little kid, where I used to cry to those Don Bluth animation films like An American Tail. For some reason I grew up into someone who only cares for those closest and takes great pleasure in others tragidy. I suppose my weak spot is animals, like in I Am Legend, I felt very sorry for the doggie. That was pretty effective build up of emotion, I don't care what people thought of the movie overall. My girlfriend saw that bit coming and coincidently needed the toilet at the moment. Lucky for her I paused it for when she came back
King Kong, My Dog Skip and I Am Legend all made me cry (well, they made my eyes water at least) when the animal in each movie died (I've got a soft spot for animals). The saddest movie I've ever seen though is Schindlers List. I was almost sobbing by the end, especially at the part where all the real Jewish people walked by his grave. And if any of you tell someone I cried!

I can't think of a movie that has made me cry. It's possible that I have, but I just can't think of the movie right now.
