While Soujia Boy's deep and moving lyrics have provided inspiration for many, I believe he has been bested by this man. His voice, like a man who just woke up and had cotton balls stuffed into his mouth, is a voice of sorrow. Truly an emotional song that speaks of hurt and betrayal like no other.

Out of those I'd go with Andrew Bird myself although all things considered when it comes to singer/songwriter vocalists I'd go with Luka Bloom.

I should have put Luka Bloom instead of Ryan Adams, he fits the poll better. Glad you know him though, he is pretty underrated. Do you know Todd Snider? If not then you should check him out, he is one of my favorite songwriters around. Check out his new album The Excitement Plan, and The Devil you know.

Yeah I worked at a couple of them and then I headed up a sizeable music/movie department at a book chain in which we did about 40% of the store's business so it was pretty thriving. Unfortunately as soon as the record companies discontinued their rule of not allowing chains to sell albums below their cost (so that places like Best Buy and Wal-mart can't price gouge them and sell them as loss leaders) then almost all the record stores went out of business.

There's just a few indies here and there surviving on selling used and hard to find CDs and vinyl. Did you get back to L.A. yet? You could try Amoeba as they're kinda the only big name in town these days.

I have never heard of ANY of those people. Are they from bands? I don't much look into band member's names.XilePrincess
