Shame really - quite possibly the best singing voice I've ever heard and she was such a sweet gospel lovin girl back in the 80s. Who'd have thought she'd succumb to the crack pipe.

Sad to hear, she was clearly one of the most talented singers of her, or really any era, but I can't say i'm exactly shocked either. Either way though, RIP.

I'm not gonna say I'm surprised due to all the drug abuse and things, but still sad.
