For the record I refuse to acknowledge Helter Skelter as the "very first Metal song".

I think the beatles have become so popular because of the story behind them. There isn't another band with such a great story around them as the beatles. Had to work their way up in england, then went to America and became insanely popular, and then had a super dramatic breakup. Idk, I guess I just can't understand whats so great about them.
[QUOTE="teddyrob"]I guess I kinda like one or two beatles songs. Not very much though. I have tried getting into them, but their music is just so boring and repetitive. The Beatles are extremly overated. I dont understand why some people make as big a fuss about them as they do. In my opinion, Radiohead are miles better as far as musicianship and songwriting goes. Radiohead isn't even comparable to The Beatles, if you want "so boring and repetitive" you couldn't have picked out a better band with Radiohead to fill that slot. There is always one of two tunes of the beatles that everyone likes. They got so many different songs.

Can you please explain the logic in that...When they were super popular in 1963...When there wasn't a story behind them.I think the beatles have become so popular because of the story behind them. There isn't another band with such a great story around them as the beatles. Had to work their way up in england, then went to America and became insanely popular, and then had a super dramatic breakup. Idk, I guess I just can't understand whats so great about them.
