This will be the first election i'm allowed to vote in :)

Anyway, i'm not sure who i'm going to vote for. I really don't trust any of the candidates with my country. The 'Pubs have completely ****ed up our country, and i doubt the Dems are going to do any better.

Too much corruption. But honestly, i just can't wait till Bush gets out of office.

So farI like Paul and Bama.

Paul for his respect for our constitution (though I disagree with him on a few issues).

Bama becuase I tend to agree with most of what he says.

At this point, I've only been able to exclude candidates from my voting future. Clinton, Brownback, Giuliani, Edwards, and any third party candidate (just a wasted vote) will definitely not be getting my support. I don't trust Clinton, Brownback may as well have come straight from the 15th century, Giuliani has no experience other than "seeing NYC through a tough time", and I never approve of failed VP candidates running for President during the next election, so Edwards is out. That's assuming any of them could get their party's nomination...

Obama, then Paul as vice prezsupercman

That probally is a very good team, though it could never work. Paul and Obama differ on too many fundemental issues.

Eh. This will be the first election I'm legally allowed to vote in, and my parents will insist I vote for someone, but I can't stand politics. I guess I'll just pick someone at random or pick someone that can't possibly win.

It would never work. the prez must be someone with charisma, and Paul aint got it. Look at our current team. Bush with his "common man" appeal, and Cheney's charisma and likability is almost non-existent.

Obama would have to be the charismatic leader of the country, with Paul in the background keeping him in check constitutionally.

Sure...Bush and Cheney were the lesser of two evils. They have done immense damage to this country, intentional or not. What's the worst that might have happened with Gore? Environmental reform of contiuation of a balanced budget?

Well, let me add sone perspective...

In 1996, when the election was against Bill Clinton, arguably one of the most charasmatic leaders of our time, and Bob Dole, one of the coldest candidates in charisma & personality, was still only a difference of 49.2% over 40.7% (with Perot, who was known to grab a lot of Rupublican support at 8.4%). So in an election of a becoming less popular president vs someone witha lack of charisma (Kerry) yeah, it was going to be close.

9% is a pretty large margin compared to.5%. 9% is almost a mandate...

And ya, Perot did capture alot of votes. I know there are alot of people pissed at him lol.

I'm turning 18 this December, so I got my timing just right to vote! I'm voting Republican, that is unless some guy that I don't like is running, in which case I'll vote for Nader, if he's running again that is.

Why do people like Obama anyway? He has like no experience all he got goin for him is that he is charismatic which isn't really the best thing to look for. I mean which work you rather have, a charismatic yet terrible leader or a un-charismatic guy who is the greatest leader ever?

To answer the question, if I was old enough to vote I'd vote for whoever is closet to Ronald Reagan in his views, but I don't really know who that would be seeing as how I haven't got around to reviewing the candidates yet (plenty of time though).

Why do you like Ronald Reagan? If you are not even old enough to vote, you certainly are not old enough to remember his presidency.

And as far as Obama, the constitution only requires candidates to be:

Natuarly Born

35 years old

And have 14 years residency.

The framers did not want this position to be for elite members only, but for any citizen that people deemed worthy. Obama may not have extensive experience in the Senate (2004), but that doesn't mean he did nothing prior to this. Read his profile, he is quite accomplished.

The only joke is that you in fact do not understand taxes. Ron Paul is against the INCOME TAX, not all taxes. The things you mentioned (sans social security) do not get paid by income tax.

Learn about the issues before claiming something is a joke.

Bush has done "intense damage" to this country? What are you talking about? The economy is doing extremely well, we have not had any terrorist attacks since 9/11. You people make him sound like Carter.

"The war in Iraq is wrong!" OK, that is your opinion, but I would rather wage war over there and keep the terrorists over there rather than have all of them concentrate on the Western world.

"The war is for oil!" So why are we not invading Russia?

I don't know who I'll vote for. I am stuck between Rudy, Mitt, and Huckabee, maybe even Thompson (has he announced yet? I feel dumb asking that heh).

The Democrat Nominee.

I know this has nothing to do with the current Bush, but his family has always had ties to the Nazis, so he didn't have the best reputation coming into the presidency. He's also screwed up a lot of what is happening IN the country.

If i was old enough i would vote for Ron Paul. But i do not agree withhis ideas for thecurrent Iraq war issue. all of his other ideas seem pretty good though. Mitt Romney doesn't seem like a guy we could trust. The Republicans are like "well what bush is doing is wrong." but if they got into office they would probably do the same things like continue with the war and keep the nation in trillions of dollars in debt (but that is okay with republicans). Well atleast they won't socialize health care.

I'm really confident that Giant Douche will work wonders for our school.
