I live in Canada.

I would pick a random person if I lived in the US

playstation2004

I live in canada too and that's a foolish statement. I'd pick whoever is running for the democrats. Not that the person will be perfect but the republicans have done enough and the world is watching now to see if America is going to let the same people again win another election, the very same group of people the vast majority of the world despise now and disagree with

I'm pretty sure I'll vote for Ron Paul in the primaries, but he's not very likely to win. So in the general election, it will probably be down to either Hilary vs Guiliani or Obama vs Guiliani.

If it's Hilary vs Guiliani, I won't vote at all because I don't care for either to win. If it's Obama vs Guiliani, I'm thinking I'll probably vote for Obama but I'm not sure yet.

I might have voted for Guiliani before I saw the debates, but he is riding the wave of 9-11 way too much. He pretty much lost me completely when he responded to Sen. Ron Paul by saying "As a person who survived 9-11..."

If i was old enough i would vote for Ron Paul. But i do not agree withhis ideas for thecurrent Iraq war issue. all of his other ideas seem pretty good though. Mitt Romney doesn't seem like a guy we could trust. The Republicans are like "well what bush is doing is wrong." but if they got into office they would probably do the same things like continue with the war and keep the nation in trillions of dollars in debt (but that is okay with republicans). Well atleast they won't socialize health care.

hoola

Ron Paul is a beast & on a vg related note, Project Offset RULES!!!!!

exactly...don't make the same mistake you guys did with G.W. Bush. atleat say you learned something from the TWO TERMS HE SERVED! I still can't believe the US chose him TWICE! -.-

I blame the Democrats, really. Not to be a prick but more because they decided that they could put up weak candidates and still beat Bush. Well, didn't work, now did it?

Nothing to do with that. Problem was the weak campaign and spineless angst and passion in the midst of such dictatorship and unethical leadership with the Bush admin. They didn't want to fight fire with fire but be nice and play nice and lost because of that dumb thinking. You wanna beat the devil you gotta rally people and get freaking passionate about it! Edwards should have spoken more for one and Kerry could have let himself get more passionate and not try to be right down the midde and appeal to republicans who were in the middle.

Bush has done "intense damage" to this country? What are you talking about? The economy is doing extremely well, we have not had any terrorist attacks since 9/11. You people make him sound like Carter.

"The war in Iraq is wrong!" OK, that is your opinion, but I would rather wage war over there and keep the terrorists over there rather than have all of them concentrate on the Western world.

"The war is for oil!" So why are we not invading Russia?

I don't know who I'll vote for. I am stuck between Rudy, Mitt, and Huckabee, maybe even Thompson (has he announced yet? I feel dumb asking that heh).

cametall
I agree. And yes, Thompson does plan to run. He'll be getting my vote for sure.

The thing is I consider him the lesser of two evils, if he was the BETTER candidate...image how idiotic the Kerry & Gore really where :P

Yeah Bush and Cheney were better. I respect people who use the bible as a tool to win the election and people who push anti gay sentiments more then saving lives. I respect people who rather fight a country and people that have nothing to do with 9/11 and people who lie about not knowing about the plot and people who acted ridiculously slow on katrina when we know it wouldn't have happened it the city in question was not new orleans etc...

I can respect someone who goes over to Iraq and kills more people than Sadaam would have in the same amount of time. Killing over 500k innocent lives. I respect someone who took out sadaam only opening a more worse situation in the middle east now that Sadaam is gone and other people can step up thanking the U.S. moved him out for them. I respect an administration that is one of the protested ones worldwide let alone in their own country.

Yeah....lesser of two evils. Stupid gore would have actually tried to stop global warming. While Bush would just question it's existence and not even look into it let alone try and stop. Yeah you're right

So ummm yeah voting for a democrat is the obvious choice here. It has been for god knows how long now

What are you talking about? You can't even give an example of how Bush has messed things up, all you do is listen to the media criticize the establishment. Things are excellent, especially in regards to national security. Yet Americans hate their fabulous economy, which is amazing because it is the envy of the world. Let's see what the actual problem is:

chart

Hmm, not inflation.

Bush Chart

Hmm, not unemployment.

Chart

Now I will give credit to Clinton for a good GDP. However take into account the huge hit that we took with 9/11 in 2001. Bush rebounded it nicely and got right back on track. So, where's the horrible economy again?

And yet, somehow:

Chart

This is blatently due to a bias media that reports negative liberal rubish instilling pessimism in the people. Things aren't bad at all. I bet your reporter never took time to show you a simple chart.

Because of anti-democrat stations like FOX, people have such negative perceptions of the country and think that there are gun crimes being commited by young black men everywhere. kcpp why do u care so much if u dont live in the United states? wonderingMVfalcons83

Cause I'm smart enough to know Bush and their admin affected the world jsut as any U.S. admin would and will. Anyone who thinks differently knows very little about politics and what goes on.

I mean our new prime minister alone is enough reason to worry about who wins in the U.S. because he is Bush's whore right now and god knows what dumb things he will do to canada.

On top of that the talk of Iran and North Korea and etc... The stuff he's doing affects billions of people and whoever wins the election can either change that or help it along in the name of the almight dollar. I mean this admin has seen a ridiculous amount of worldwide protests. The world after 9/11 was looking to the U.S. and wanting to help them out and things looked different, as if we could actually join together but what happened?

Bush and his admin did a 180 and now the majority of the world hates the bush admin and is quesitoning amercia as a whole because he stole the first election but he won the second one and I know down here in Canada alone that made a lot of people just stop and shake their heads as to why.

If Republicans had cared so much about freedom and worldwide peace they should know having Bush is power is exactly what many terrorists love to see... he's causing chaos, he removed Sadaam to the joy of many many terrorrist groups and certain nations. Meanwhile the guy who did 9/11 he says he wasn't looking into that much in one press conference.

So when you ask why I care, that is why. He is the president of the united states and can change the world and alter it's path for the best or for the worst. And anyone with open eyes can see it is for the worst as it stands now...

I should also point out that for a good time there right after 9/11 and beyond no one questioned him in the media because you'd get death threats and maybe even killed by crazy republican supports. As the Dixie Chicks about what they said then which the vast majority of the country seems to think now and polls support that claim.

But honestly the one people to show bush in a good light has been mostly been the american networks and ofcourse Foxrepublicannews. lol

If you go around the world in just about every country you will see very well done reports and programs about this admin and their take on it and almost all of it is not pro-bush. Ofcourse Bush supporters would have you believe the world is just crazy is all. Billions of people are dumb and the republicans are right... and you can't claim bias on these worldwide broadcasts and pieces for the most part (obviously not including stations that are anti bush and anti american and anti jew etc...).

The CBC alone here in Canada has great pieces on everything going on and it's not a bias we hate bush deal. We have no reason to hate an american just for the sake of it. That makes no sense.

I think it's a very weird race. you have a black man and a woman. Both obviously long shots just in terms of who we know always wins these elections. White men.

So I don't know who will win the right to go on out of the democrats. I think I would pick Obama though. He seems like a good candidate but I would need to see more on his view on many things and hilary and etc...

Although If I was in the U,S. I would vote for Gore if he ran again. He's the best choice IMO by far and came along way from his boring job when running against Bush. He's more charismatic andI think a lot of people are more interested in issues like global warming now as well as health care. If a democrat and start bring up those issues it will be interesting cause all repulicans do is look away from global warming saying it doesn't exist with their oil company billionaire on hold on their cell phone lol

Or say Healthcare is evil and pretend as if it could be worse or say lies about how health care is in other countires. I think everyone hear should see sicko. This movie is about health care not about republicans or democrats

Let us not forget who actual won the popular vote in 2000 and, in all fairness, the electoral vote; Gore!

One quick note on the electoral college of that year. NEVER IN ANY AMERICAN'S right mind (well maybe not any, but hopefully most) would we like our president elected by nine old biased aristocrats. By that I mean for the first time, and hoepuflly last, the head of the executive branch was chosen by the Supreme Court. I feel the founding father's never wanted that much power devoted to a single branch of government.

In any event, those seven wise men and two wise women basically chose George Bush president for a full four year term.

The justice system once again prevails.

I heard today the leading canidate in New Hampshire is Al Gore. Too bad he isn't running. That is funny.

I think I would support Mike Gravel if he didn't support "fair" tax. I used to like Obama until his "all options are on the table" BS.

I can see my self campaigning for a third party candidate.

Ron Paul is great until you realize that he's basically handing America over to huge corporations.

I have heard this before. Could you please elaborate? I am honestly interested in why you think this.

Because he pretty much supports letting them choose environmental standards and stuff like that. Less government control of corperations.

Also, he wants to leave Roe v. Wade up to the states. Bad idea.

Plus lots of immigration BS.

An overall bad dude.

I learnt that when he said that he'd want to get rid of organizations like the IRS, UN, and FEMA on the Colbert Report. And since that was influential enough to get some Congressmen the vote during the mid-terms..............

No one...it doesn't matter who you vote for, because they are only going to do what's in THEIR best interest, not the people's.

Help what? Help decide which selfish politician to put in office? No thanks.
