.. That is not a option, the only thing that is going to cause is one of the primary candidates to lose votes.. Outside of that, he isn't going to win..[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="KC_Hokie"]Gary Johnson Assassin_87
That IS an option. People should feel free to vote for whoever they want to see in office representing them. I always find it ridiculous when someone relays a similar sentiment to me after I've expressed my interest in voting for Johnson. So what if he won't win? I'll use my vote to advocate whatever I want.
I never said they couldn't vote, but its going to be pretty much as useful as not voting to begin with.. I am all for third parties in house, senate and governor races.. But presidential races? Waste of time.Gary Johnson.
Although Gary Johnson isn't going to be in the debates (unless there's a divine intervention), I personally can't wait to see the Obama/Romney debates.
Recently I've had annoying customers rant on about politics as I tried to work. I'm amazed by how many people around me believe Obama is a secret Muslim from Kenya. I don't know, I don't really like talking to people, so I tend to forget that I live in such a stupid state.
I doubt I will vote, I just hope it ends soon. I don't want to hear anymore stupid people spewing out shallow rhetoric while I desperately want to go home and masturbate.
For me it's between Jill Stein and Gary Johnson. I will probably choose Jill Stein. My state will almost certainly go to Romney. :/t3hrubikscube
I am genuinely curious, do you think Jill Stein and Gary Johnson are similar idealogically or is their something else that made them your two choices? I ask because I do not know much about the Green Party, but they seem fundamentally opposed to the Libertarian Party from what I have read on their website.
Although I disagree with him on a few things, Gary Johnson will be getting my vote.Canvas_Of_FleshYou mean you'll be voting for Obama.
I just read the Green Party's stance on most of the major issues, and they are ridiculously insane. I cannot think of a worse platform, excepting Soviet Communism of course.
I do like their reform of the voting the election and voting system.
I am voting Obama 2012.
I do not like Romney's Vice President, and the current state of the GOP is so extreame right now it scares me. Romney himself is just an average politician, I don't think he is anything special and find him to be a flip flopping hypocrite.
Doesn't mean I think Obama is great either, he had the majority of the house Democrats in his 1st term and he still didn't do much. But he did do Obama Care so that's something, even though it didn't really make much of a difference in the end.
I disagree with Obama on a lot of stuff, I don't like his stance on abortion for one. But overall he is better than Romney, and I am sure that Obama will win.

They are popular here on OT but no where else, the Green Party is a joke. That says a lot about the OT community, they are certianly the minority.
As for elections, it should just be popular vote, the delegate system is outdated and needs to go.
Stewart Alexander of the Socialist Party. Sure, he's going to lose but I can't vote for Obama or Romney in good conscience.

The democrats are a joke, they don't stand for anything but the paychecks they receive from large corporations. They are just an act of deception. They never actualy follow through with anything they say they're going to do anymore. As a Texan, Romney will win my state no matter who I vote for. That being said I will vote for Obama or write in Stephen Colbert. Most likely Obama.

I have no idea why the electoral college still exists. I feel like my vote is pointless since my state is guaranteed to go Democrat anyway.
The reason why you have no idea, is becausee you don't live in a Democracy. And that's a good thing.I never said they couldn't vote, but its going to be pretty much as useful as not voting to begin with.. I am all for third parties in house, senate and governor races.. But presidential races? Waste of time. sSubZerOoSelf-fulfilling prophecies man. I'll vote for whoever I think is right, screw the odds. If enough people were willing to take that risk, it would have an impact. Sometimes there's meaning in doing something seemingly in vain. How much difference do you believe there is between Romney and Obama anyway?

I'm an Independent, which is the only position that really makes sense to me.

I'm also independent. I do not agree with the greens on everything but Jill Stein is certainly much more serious than Obama. Obama bails out the banks (something he pledged not to do), while Jill gets arrested at bank protests. She's definitely the real deal. Please Log In to post.
