I did, felt like a part of my history died there.
Many of you are too young to understand that, but the impact he had in the 70's and 80's is enormous.
i understand that he was as big as elvis during that time. however how can u cry for someone that did things to kids man?It would be (slightly) different if every single physical or digital piece of his music was destroyed or deleted. I still wouldn't cry, but that would be an infinitely bigger deal. People should stop living vicariously through celebrities who couldn't care less.I did, felt like a part of my history died there.

I don't think he did, I think people were trying to extort money from him.

Obviously you didn't grow up with the Jackson Five throughout your childhood, and Michael Jackson's greatness through your young adulthood.
Michael Jackson was a very caring guy, I doubt he was a pedophile, but I do think growing up in the limelight from 8 years old- on can wreck your own childhood. Its not a situation I would've wanted, especially considering MJ wanted to be a private person, something he could never have.
I wouldn't say I made a big cry about it, but I was choked up about it. It was somewhat surreal.....I felt an emptiness open in me, he was such a big part of the 70's and 80's for me growing up, it was just hard to believe he was gone at age 50.
The man had no influence on me, nor did his music, so no.

Not me, pretty much had about 1 second of mild surprise, then went back to not caring. Darth-Caedus
Both of these explained how I feel.
I thought "oh sad..." and then moved on with my life. Then I lol'd at the reaction it had amongst the people because when he was alive, he was a pedophile.
I didnt cry or anything. I did have Sky News on in the background while I was using my laptop and i saw the news break so I was glued to the tv most of the night out of interest but thats about it.
I didn't feel the least bit bad up until that kid came up and said he was lying about being molested. Although to be fair I never was a fan of the guyss music so it was most likely a lot easier for me not to care.
meh.................i pissed me off when he died due to 24/7 news coverage. for about 3 weeks..............i almost shot myself, same thing happened with Anna Nichole. god i hate celeberties!
