President Obama A lot of people just don't seem to understand the fact that we are so lucky to have a man who has extremely rare attributes. He is both black and white. He is intelligent, compassionate and courageous. His integrity is second to none. You may choose to argue about his priorities. Should he have done jobs before healthcare? Should he have fought for more stimulus? but you can't argue with his intentions. Take a look at what he has accomplished in his first 2 years...
- Changed failing war strategy in Afghanistan
- Increased funding for national parks and forests in 2010, and plans to do it again for FY 2011
- Created and sustained 2.1 million jobs and stimulated the economy 3.5% [as of December 31, 2009] through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
- Enhanced earth mapping
- Empowered states that legalized medical marijuana to regulate themselves. Fourteen states have allowed some use of marijuana for medical purposes
- Strengthened theEndangered Species Act
- Provided the Department of Veterans Affairs the largest spending increase in 30 years to improve medical facilities and national cemeteries, and to assist states in acquiring or constructing state nursing homes and extended care facilities
- Announced theMaking Home Affordablehome refinancing plan
- Ended DADT
Many more has been accomplished... Hope is not instant and neither is change you need to believe and put forth your own effort.
