Jennifer Hudson. Despite her awesome singing ability in Dreamgirls, what she did in the rest of the movie I couldn't quite call acting. I felt that Adrianna Barraza did a much more impactful role in Babel.

Hudson should not have won. Best Supporting Actress should have belonged to Abigail Breslin.

Pan's Labyrinth for cinematography.  It's one of my favorite films, but honestly, HOW did the Academy give it to that over Children of Men?  Anyone who has seen CoM knows that it is unmatched when it comes to cinematography...there are multiple times when the camera goes for takes around 6 minutes long without a cut at all, the car scene they showed during the oscars (which is one of the craziest action sequences I have seen in a movie), and the final sequence which is the most intense filmmaking I have ever seen.

I agreed with most of the other choices, but that one (as you can tell) really bothered me.

In a way I agree, but it's not just excellent cinematography, its the implimentation of it and when it was used. CoM almost went over the top and it didn't quite pan out as smoothly as PL.

I completely agree. That car scene was incredible. I think CoM should've won.

Jennifer Hudson, she only got it because the other great actors were in Babel and they are foreign so not only will no one be able to say their name when they say "Did you see Oscar winner [insert name here] last night?" so they need to give it to soemone the American audience can relate to. Cate Blanchett wouldn't have been bad.

That song for An Inconvienent Truth. Are you serious? You beat out 3 Dreamgirls songs? Dreamgirls?! I guess the Academy is just racist as hell or something. Don't take that comment to seriously by the way, I'm just saying their songs were much better than that "good at best" song.

Children of Men should have got cinematography but Pan's was still amazing, so I'm happy with it.

And foreign language film, what kind of "surprise" was that? Giving it to that German was it? film. Pan should have taken it, no contest.

I think being nominated a for a few things actually decreases the chance of winning. They want it to be surprising, so they go against the statistical favorite.

I believe the opposite. The Oscar's don't deserve to be awarded to the actors and movies. Eff the Acadamy.

But that defeats the purpose of calling it the "best" and giving it an award.
