This man's greatness brings tears to my eyes:

Abraham Lincoln

However, notable mentions include Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

I very much disliked Reagan's deficit spending, but he was exceedingly badass. But Thomas Jefferson has to be my favorite. This quote from him sums up my views on the world better than any other: "It is error alone which needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself."

George Washington or Abe Lincoln. Maybe Teddy for his situation. Depression, then the war? :o

Hmm, interesting question. I would have to say either Abe Lincoln or George Washington. Restoring the Union, and emancipating the slaves has history putting Abe Lincoln in a pretty darn good light. Then again setting basically all the standards for the presidency while establishing America wasn't so bad.

As for recent presidents, Clinton's deficit surplus gives him a plus in my book. Especially now with our trillion dollar deficit (thanks Bush). I don't think Reagan was all that great, the Soviet Union fell do to a poor economic system, not Reagan. His "reaganomics" put is in a recession in the early ninety's too.

Actually, they all look good compared to Bush.

LOL, Teddy Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt aren't the same person. FDR came into office with the depression, and then WW2 happened, not Teddy.
