Frank Caliendo sucks. His John Madden impression is good the first time you see it but other than that he's terrible. Not funny at all cause every impression he does he just repeats the same sentence over and over and his jokes are always fail.

Lisa Lampaneli. Annoying woman who thinks randomly tossing insults at your crowd while screaming how you want to sleep with black men is A material.
Gabriel Iglesias
I don't know what people see in him.

Dane Cook and Mencia come instantly to my mind.
As an aside, the movie...Funny People...I did not like the movie. I appreciate what they tried to do, but man, it was hard to sit through. It's a perfect example of a movie with a load of hi-profile comedians with poorly written lines. For example, the bar scene.
Any comedian who relies on short, stupid punchlines, or makes stupid noises (carlos mencia, and pablo fransisco comes to mind). I like storytelling when it comes to comedy, think of Dave Chappelle for example, he lets you picture things, which is much funnier imo, because he leaves many things to your imagination, he's relaxed and doesn't get too crazy, i like his face expressions as well while he's telling jokes.

Gonna have to agree with Frank Caliendo. I'd rather witness an abortion on-stage than his painful impressions act.
im going to have to say that, perhaps just because im british, i dont find american stand ups that funny...there are a few that ive seen that are quite good, but there are a load ive seen that i just cant laugh at...maybe its just the difference in cultures.

'cause Russel Brand is funny
(I'm just kidding, don't make it an international comedy war)

Check out Louis CK, Dimitri Martin, and Mitch Hedberg. Some of the best comedy out there from this side of the waters. (It's hard for me to get into some British standup, but I absolutely adore British comedy writing. Douglas Adams is my hero)

Woah; woah; woah. Dmitri Martin?; seriously? I've never even heard of the third guy.The best comedian is imo George Carlin. Dave Chappelle comes pretty close. Louis CK is pretty good; and Bill Burton is hilarious.

well their pretty funny, but i just dont find them as funny as british comedians (much the same as you in reverse) i suppose its just one of those things, i can connect more to british comedians....but i suppose i have just seen a few bad american comedians in the past.
