It's too early to tell. (Edit) However, I find Obama's politics and decisions so far from my beliefs and politics that, in my eyes anyway, old bumbling George was far superior.

too hard to say.. really.

I can't predict how the future cultures, and social circumstances of future times.. will look back on the history that is taking place now.. and feel about it. I hope they don't think Bush, or Obama.. were good leaders.. since they' can't effectively do anything as president of the united states.. It's just a symbol.. The have no real power.. and they remind me of the guy you vote to be your High School president.. they get stuck decorating for prom.. and not doing anything serious at all.

They're both D- presidents if you were to grade them imo, so I'd say they are both equally crappy.

They both spent(d) WAY too much.

What is going to make or break liberal vs conservative presidents is the economy.

When it tanks, which it will, liberalism and fiscal irresponsibility will be destroyed. Now I'm not saying Bush was the most fiscally-responsible leader, but it's pretty clear Obama is running our economy into the ground with legislation he has no means of paying for except by taxing the ever-living crud out of us. Higher taxes lead to less economic-stimulation and will ultimately cripple small-businesses that give us the jobs we so very need.

Hopefully this doesn't happen in our or our children's life-times.

I'm sure it'll depend upon whom you're asking, but overall...probably Obama. It's hard to say though. Obama's only been in for a year. He could royally screw up. So far he hasn't been too impressive.

Too early in baracks presidency to tell. Bush was terrible though and the chain of bad events for us started during his presidency mainly. Barack is definitely a great speaker but I'm not so sure if he can fix an already extremely messed up system.

Little early but I'm gonna go with Obama even though he isn't exactly amazing, at least he's not ridiculously terrible like Bush was. I think people who say Bush is better have either forgotten what it was like when he was president or is a conservative.

It would be nice to know exactly what Obama has done after four/eight years. It's pretty hard to compare when you don't know one of the variables that you're comparing. I don't see historians being overly fond of either one though.

Way to early to tell. Obama's only been president for one year. However, I do not think that history will look at George W. Bush very favorably, for a number of reasons, so I think Obama has a decent chance of being regarded as a better president when it is all said and done - especially if he is successful when it comes to health care reform.

You can think it's pointless. I think bringing democracy to the middle-east and removing a sadistic dictator was very worth fighting for. Not to mention killing off al-Qaeda by any means necessary.

Elaborate more on this 'shoddy' foreign policy. I didn't know we had any goals.

We're the laughingstock because we're spending trillions of dollars on a health care change that has been proven not to work. No one wanted to mess with us when G-Dubbya was president. Notice how we didn't get attacked again until Obama took office?

Maybe if we'd just stuck to Afghanistan and getting rid of Al Qaeda and the Taliban instead of going into Iraq for no freaking reason (unless you count the WMDs which turned out not to exist), which caused us to lose billions upon billions of dollars and diminish our effectiveness in Afghanistan, which has led to a long, tedious, drawn-out conflict with no end in sight.

Bad choice of words on my part. No one successfully attacked America under Bush's leadership after 9/11. Not on the scale of of it, at least.

I don't see how appointing a director of Homeland Security, who had no idea that kidnapping by Mexican cartels was so prevalent in Phoenix, AZ, can be a good thing for the defense of this country.

I also don't see how publicizing the methods the CIA uses to torture suspects can be a good thing, but I digress.

The government spending too much does not drive an economy into the ground. After the recession, interest rates will have to go up to combat inflation and, yes, taxes will have to be raised, but the levels they were at pre-Obama were unsustainable in the first place. The government will never be able to consistently post surpluses with taxes as low as they were during the Bush Administration. In general, your post is overly-simplistic and assumes much about when and how Obama will pay off the deficits he is posting.

(as a side-note, it's amazing how the deficit hawks come out of the woodwork during Obama Administration, but never said a peep about the record deficits every president since Reagan (besides Clinton, he got lucky and was president during a big bubble) has been posting).

This is a tough one. Like choosing between regurgitated goat poo or nasty runny burrito diarrhea from a chihuahua. We'll see how he deals with health care and drug law reform before I make a decision. Regardless pretty hard choice.

I honestly don't think it will matter. I mean sure to historians and history teaccher maybe, but honestly I think it will be much the same as today. The majority of people will know the founding fathers, Abe Lincoln, Nixon, and FDR. Obama might make the list because he was the first black president (ok half black) and a select few other presidents for various reasons, but still not really know the rest of the presidents or what they did for the world.

It pains me that people think no one attacked america during bush(911, anthrax etc) but the failed(noticed that there was no actual attack) underwear attack from a plane from amsterdam automatically makes obama the antichrist and bush god.

Even worse that someone is extremely happy for an illegal trillion dollar war based on nothing but fixing healthcare for the citizens OH NOEZ TEH HORROR HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH A THING!?!?!?!?!
