Who else is horrified by Elfen Lied?

berzerk and hellsing are pretty liberal when it comes to the violence. 

It is a pretty good anime. It is the only anime worse than Gantz (concerning gore and stuff, they are both good animes).

Gantz was depressing the whole way through. It wasn't even the normal kind either, it was the pathetic kind. I lost some faith in humanity at the end of Gantz.

I liked the overall theme of and messa ge of the anime..but the nudity was unnecessary.cheetah_TM

I saw a clip of it on youtube, my firend whos into anime said it's possibly the bloodiest anime ever. All the clip showed was this girl flying around ripping people apart with her mind. pretty pointless.

My exact thoughts five minutes into the series.  

Elfen Lied owns. Although it's overrated. If it'd just be a longer series, it would be everything it's cracked up to be.SimpJee

I'd gamble a coupla bucks that the author of the particular piece has some creepy underground hope that S/he could sprout invisible arms from the mind and go on a dismembering spree. I just got that vibe that there was an author-to-story connection when there was a flashback of kids picking on a child in school, and when you normally wouldn't be able to do anything? yep shot out inviso-arms of slice'n'dice doom :| 

I thought it was positively brilliant.

It actually made me cry several times, very moving storyline about pushing the limits of a persons sanity. Realizing Lucy developed multiple personality disorder from the abuse she suffered really disturbed me at first. That series is shocking in the best way possible. It really made me think.
