Game Stop in my opinion, is the worst store ever.

Not only they dawdle between customers to customers, not even confronting them directly (almost all gamespot I've went to at least)

and I hate how all of their new games are actually opened....also, when I took a display case to the register, they put that game in that exact case and sold it to me...

Worst part, is some of the cashiers think it's funny to doodle on the game box...

Seriously... I hate their crappy service!

I don't go to them unless I'm looking for a rare game or a used game. Even then I send someone into the store if I can. I just don't like the employees. If I wanted an opinion I would have asked you, I mean I don't go out to the customers where I work and say the dish that they're eating sucks because I don't like it.

Depends, some employees are total jerks, and some are nice. And I saw a hot chick working there. She had a lip ring, which I find totally hot.

I get how you may find this morally grey, but, as a customer and a person I have to write to critic them biasly all I want to...(Don't want to sound like a jerk, but still.)

And besides gamespot reviewers do far worse...lol

The new Gamespot closest to our town is actually one of the best one's I've been to. They're all very nice! The other day I went to sell them a Xbox 20GB (i think its GBs) and the guy said they'd give me 15 bucks in store cash for it and he's like, "Don't Do It!" Did it anyways.

Oh and there's this chick there who looks like that Cloe chick from 24.. IT'S CREEPY cause she looks and talks just like her! :o I get a laugh everytime.

I understand it's all part of the fabric of retail but I really make an attempt not to talk with most people side from my friends when I'm out. I will clearly show disinterst in any form of communication when I'm buying things.

I find the gamestop a bit got damn expensive if im gonna buy new games. But the usually have some good older games there cheap and the people that work at the gamestop in my town aren't complete a**holes. They actually gave me a nice discount on a game today just because I spent a little extra dough there today so its all good.

And BTW the other Gamestops ive been to the people that work there don't know wtf they're doing cause they allways manage to sell me stuff cheaper or mix up with the discs (to my benefits of course :)) . I remember this one time when I bought Rise Of Nations and the dude in the counter didn't knew the difference between the regular and the deluxe edtion so I gave me the deluxe edition insted of the regular that I was supposed to buy since I didn't have the money for the Deluxe. But as I said its all good.

i don't, the ones by me, the employees are very helpful, and they don't pressure me into buying anything. Every now and then i even get opinions by them. I do dislike the how ripped off you get by selling games, but thats a decision you make on your own, your not forced tosell them. I honestly really like gamestop, just have had nothing but good experiences there.

It all depends on management. My older Electronics Boutique (which is now coverted to a GameStop) has gotten incredibly worse, while a brand new GameStop right by my house that opened last year has actually been rather good.

I heard that you have to be 18 to work there.... completely killed my thoughts of getting a part-time job there during high school. I don't really see why either.

Also that they don't carry used PC games for some weird reason.

Gamestop seems expensive to me. The only time I ever buy a game there is if they have shwag w/ it, and I can't get it anywhere else.

Oh yeah, that reminds me of one time when I went to my local Gamestop. I saw a used Pokemon Ruby for *DRUMROLL*

$34.99!!!!!

Hey, can't you very easily find one new for that price, or even cheaper??

I actually yelled out loud right next to the employees, "$35 for a used Pokemon Ruby?? Are you KIDDING me??"

Hey, I got Mass Effect and Assassins Creed, and the Plastic wrap wasn't even taken off. Also the sign is 4 years outdated cause it still says Funco Land, but it's still considered gamestop. That girl with the lip ring was hot.

I don't have many problems, but once or twice they really screwed up. One time I bought Pokemon Diamond and the case was empty. Good thing I had my DS in my pocket, I went outside sat on a bench (this was at the mall) and checked it out, but the game wasn't their. I waltzed in their and I threw a fit. Thats basically the only thing that happend to me considering Gamestop.

I hate how they keep the disk of their opened games somewhere else cuz it gets some scratches. Then there's their service.. no one ever helps the right way. They ask if you need help and I'm like yeah I need this PS2 game and they go "Oh well here are our PS2 games wall and this is the used PS2 games". And I'm all like DUH! I knew that 'tard. Go on your damn computer and look it up. Then they have like 8 million used games which aren't even properly alphabetized.

All of the people at my local Gamestop are emo teens-20s year olds who sound like they are 12. They ask you for an ID and stuff like that no matter how freaking old you look(you could be an old man) when you buy a mature rated game. The only upside to my local Gamestop is well.....the games.

So they close at 9 PM, right? I checked right before I got there, I called to make sure, they even had their schedule posted on their door. Well I got there at 8:15 PM and they were closed. I knocked on their door and they didn't pay attention to me. Their problem is that they don't care about their customers since they know they will always have more. They have repeatidly treated me like crap, so therefore I buy my games from Best Buys now.
