Who here hates modern day television.

I think T.V. of today is just bad.I'm more into shows like All In The Family,Cheers,Night Court,Bizzar,and years back of Saturday morning cartoons back in the early 1980's,70's.That's just to name a few.So who agrees with me. Old t.v. or new t.v. if you had to pick.

a little of both. i would like to bring Monk, House, and 24 with all the 90's cartoons.

I dont. I find that there are alot of bad tv shows on nowadays but there are some good ones

Modern? I hate every generation of televison, no shows are entertaining.. Well, for my location.

There are some really great shows on tv that I like to watch. However, I would say that 98% of what is on tv, I am not interested in. So, if I was to make a statement like yours, I would say, "Modern day tv has a ton of selection, but I don't like hardly any of it."

all new TV shows are down, im not siting by the TV for half a day just turn channels, the only show im interested these days is top gear

I try not to watch TV because I always feel like I'm wasting time unless if I'm watching a film or a documentary that will provide me with knowledge that I'll utilize.

Generally TV sucks yes. I don't watch it anymore, if I like a show I buy it on DVD. It's better anyways I can't stand commercials there so lame it infuriates me a bit :)

I strongly feel the same way about cartoons, but I'm about even when it comes to the usual primetime big name television series. I've never really watched that many primetime shows, so their quality seems about the same to me. I miss following a show religiously like I did with The X-Files lol.

I hate modern day music television (MTV, VH1, etc...) but my favorite shows are modern (How I met Your Mother, True Blood, Dexter, Buffy, Bones, X-Files, etc...).

On topic, I have to say that I just can't go back to "old TV". I used to LOVE McGyver but recently went back and watched it...big mistake. Some shows hold up well (Hogan's Heroes for instance), but I've found that not all do. Plots, acting, production, budgets, etc. are all (generally speaking) better now.

I agree, I think it is terrible. I would much rather watch old sitcoms like i love lucy, leave it to beaver, andy griffith etc...

eh I don't watch much tv anyway, the only show I watch is Supernatural can't wait for the new season:)
