Who here plans to pick up the Apple Ipad?

I am kinda thinking about it but the lack of flash and usb port kinda blows. It kinda reminds me of just a oversized iphone without the cell phone calling/txting ability. Don't know if that's a bad thing or not but the price tag seems kinda reasonable.. What do you think of the ipad and are you planning on picking one up?

It honestly looks like the biggest waste of money I have ever seen.

Not interested, even though I love Apple products... I mean what's the point I'll add another $150 and buy a MacBook.... I think they failed at this one...

here is my take on it. The Ipad will be fun and it has a great e-reader and quite frankly it is a very slick looking system that would look very good while you are using it at home or if it is just sitting on your coffee table. However with the lack of flash, multitasking, camera, small hard drive, no USB, no upgradable hardware, and $500 being well out of my range except in the most special of occassions you can be sure I won't be getting one.

The Kindle didn't really flop, so far as I know. Nor will this. The price isn't that bad for Apple. There'll be enough people who think the iPad is cool enough to justify the price.SolidSnake35

Wow if this poll is any indication, this maxIpad is going to horribly flop... Apple better rethink their gameplan quick. They're a smart innovative company but what the heck? This thing is jumbo-sized Iphone that's missing way too many key features to warrant it having any meaning to exist.

Of course I'm sure Apple marketing will somehow find a way to influence the trend in society and make it really cool to own one, suddenly every 14 year old will be begging their parents for it. I for one will not be getting something as silly as that. I would however like to get a macbook too start doing music on.
