DoomGuy, especially from Doom 3.

He takes a horde of demons, everyone around him dying, and traveling through HELL ITSELF, and doesn't even flinch. He never cries, breaks down, or even gets disturbed. He watched a soldier die right infront of him, and didn't even get fazed by it. He fought against an invincible demon,collected the souls of the damned to use as weapons against said demon,and never even flinched. He's a bigger badass than everyone else because he did it without superpowers.

How many bigtime heroes on your lists could do all that without breaking down? Oh right, nobody. Because compared to Doomguy, they're all little girls. He did everything up there WITHOUT POWERS. He was one ordinary marine. He listened to the stories of others that died, KNEW what kind of horror waited around every corner, knew he was outmanned and outgunned, and he didn't just save the whole damn world, he did it WITHOUT. SUPER. POWERS.

I think the reason why Duke has not been mentioned was because he is just an obvious candidate and people wanted to be more original for who's the most badass character.
