Yea, I listened to his stuff from the 90s and I was pretty amazed. But the problem I think is that he didn't have a big enough audience. He couldn't make song for the mainstream and he used words too big for a lot of guys that follow the underground scene.
Pretty intelligent guy, went to college and served in the military.
I don't really have a favorite right this second, except for biggie, but for rappers that are in the game right now i like:

Sorry for the boring answer but Eminem. My favorite hip hop album is Liquid Swords but GZA can't touch Em overall.
I don't have any particular favorite artist. I've been digging Chamillionaire alot as of late. I usually prefer to listen to artists like Mos Def, Kweli, Dilated Peoples, Buckshot, Outkast, Rakim, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Hieroglyphics, Wu-Tang Clan, Little Brother, Notorious BIG, Slum village, Masta Ace, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, etc etc. You should get the idea.
I am not a rap fan.
That said, I do enjoy the new Rick Ross album.
Dont ask me what it is called, because I do not know.
The words "favorite" and "rapper" will rarely be used in the same sentence in my vocabulary.scorch-62
Clearly a racist here fellows :P
