I believe it should be someone who moderates fairly and justly but also willing to let one slide once in a while. It must be a person who knows the ins and outs of GS. (i.e, knowing how to post blogs, rate games, knowing which boards to post in, how to level up efficiently). Oh and they also must get to know the little people of GS. Because if a mod doesn't know me, I won't respect them. [spoiler] :P [/spoiler]

I think it should be someone who doesn't abuse the report button and that this person takes their moderations appropriately as in the opposite of what most users do: *rages* goes to ask moderators and says *why the **** did I get a moderation for this and this and this."

Only been here a few days. Though one user I have seen seems to be a good mod candidate. Topsmeg55 or something like that. Seems pretty knowledgeable about the site and helpful. Think he has also said that he has made contributions for the past five years. So he gets my vote if we do have any say in who gets to be a moderator. Do we?

Yeah normally the moderator nominations are people we usually don't know well. I do know that the people who become imods have good qualities and you can probably figure them out if you've ever hanged out with them. I knew riou7 before he became a mod and he was the type to participate in gs activities, he also was very nice about everything and always followed gs rules.
