What ****ing ever. Profane words are just words, using them says nothing about your intelligence. Relying too heavily on them does, but just using them doesn't. I mean, what does it say about your intelligence if you're going to avoid using specific words simply because of a negative stigma put on them by society? I can say sex you and it's not considered offensive, but F you is deemed inappropriate and therefore I'm considered unintelligent for using it? Please.

It says a lot about your intelligence. If you can not convey your thoughts and emotions without inserting the words UNNECESSARILY into your speech then one must question your thought formulation and way of expression. If a person can tell you to your face why they find offense to you and all you can say back is F you -- you're saying that doesn't mean you lack intelligence? I think so. And most likely composure too - because the other person was able to get out of you what they want - which is anger and frustration to the point that you have no logical argument back but a mere curse word.

They are a very powerful thing. Words can inspire. Words can kill. It can make you feel love. It can incite hate. It can make fellow man kill fellow man. A great speaker can dictate the lives of millions of people.

Which is why we should totally ban inspiring words. They have the possibility of leading to unsavory results.

On one end. But on the other they can inspire people to do great things as well. It is upon the intelligence of the people listening to (we hope) be able to weed out the words that inspire hate over those that inspire for the greater good. But in regards to curse words -- there is very little argument to support any positive affect or effect when using them. They are superlatives to emotions. Not necessary for a child to learn at a young age. Can you imagine your 8 year old brother/sister/son/daughter/grandchild telling you to F off? Sounds funny now right? Not until you here it from the baby's mouth. There is an appropriateness as to when these words must be used -- and maturity helps decide that. Age doesn't necessarily decide maturity -- but I can guarantee you that most people here will argue that they being older = them being more mature than an 8 year old.

Some curse words lead to the act of reproduction. Isn't that a good?

There is a reason why it is called "talking dirty" ;P -- and typically, although not in most cases, is done when one is in the act of reproduction, but their primary purpose is merely fornication but not reproduction.

words have no power unless you give them power.
