I've seen it several times. Miyazaki knows how to dazzle his audience.

I tried very hard to like it, it was certainly entertaining but way overrated.

technically, they do distribute. buena vista. however, disney animation hasnt made anything good at all in the past years. they distribute studio ghibli films under strict no-change agreement. they can only dub it, which i believe john lasseter may have had a hand in.

similarly, pixar was great. now that disney actually owns them, it will be interesting to see if their films continue to be such high quality. i think ratatouille was the last ind. film by pixar, and i think the next is slated to be toy story 3. hopefully this wont be the next in a long line of horrible, unnecessary disney sequels

I'm not usually a fan of anime but Spirited Away along with Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, and Grave of the Fireflies are just great movies regardless of whether you like the genre

I watched it. It was great... but nothing like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind or Castle in the Sky.

I watched it a few times. It is amazing, but I liked Princess Mononoke just a tad better.

Either way you cut it, Hayao Miyazaki is like the Stanley Kubrick of animated movies.

Wonderful movie, if you enjoyed that check out more Miyazaki/studio ghibli classic.

Like: Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle of Cagliostro, Castle in the Sky, The Cat Returns etc....

I saw it and loved it, but some of Miyazaki's other movies are better. Try Princess Mononoke, or Howl's Moving Castle. But don't watch any of the dubbed versions, subtitles are where its at.Mumbles527

I really liked Castle in the sky better, and Howls moving Castle was great too. I dont really remember princess monoke past the part where the guy shoots the other guys arms off.
