Who would win in a conventional Armed Conflict? U.S.A. Vs. England?? (No Nukes)

If both nations were allowed to use anything in their arsenal besides WMDs, Biological and chemical weapons,andallied nations.

I think American because they have alot better funding, training, andmore advanced tech; then those brits.

wouldn't a nuke be a wmd? But I think since so much of the world think Americans are evil, England would have so many allies that we'd have no chance. My opinion although and I'm no war/politics expert.

No WMDs used then the US will win just due to the size of its military and the fact that it can project its power in the already mention 12 supercarriers and their attached battlegroups. Also, the US can pretty much send waves upon waves of long-range bombers without having to take any airfield closer to the UK. If the goal was just to wipe out the British Isles and its military then infantry and armor will not even be needed.

oh my god.......can we just get rid of threads like these on the spot ?.....all they do is rowdy up all the users from different countries, how many This country vs That country threads have we had ? between two countries that will never fight each other, c'mon, honestly do you want the two nations to fight ?

The US is a MUCH larger country, a larger surface area is harder to conquer. Just as a point of reference, England fits into the state of texas over 3 times...

It doesn't matter how many enemies the US have, it would still win. England isn't too popular herself. Ask any number of countries that used to be in our Empire...or France, Spain, Germany, Russia etc etc etc

If you had the same size army as us, then we would win. We have an insanely good military considering we're such a small country.

Still be all right since a constant campaign of bombing would pretty much incapacitate the island. And unlike the Battle of Britain during WW2, this campaign won't be a prelude to a follow-up invasion. Just carpet bomb the island from south to north and east to west.

America has nearly the the amount of spending put into the Military that the rest of the world has combined.

US, it's bigger..... sorta obvious, if nukes were involved the UK would loose again as the UK has the highest concentration of primary targets in the world (or at least it did in the cold war), if you his all the prime targets there's only a few small spots which arn't blown to pieces areas in Yorkshire, Scotish Iles and Scotish Highlands i thinkmarkop2003

The US doesn't have to invade the UK to win. They can just plan a campaign of annihilation instead of a campaign of conquest.
