I dont even listen to rap and I dont intend to. All Ive seen of rap is from MTV. And I dont intend to start listening to rap either, I prefer vocal rythyms and singing talent. Not just talking real fast, anyone can do that.[QUOTE="JackMcSexbeard"][QUOTE="sarmini"][QUOTE="JackMcSexbeard"]Ha ha very funny :|[QUOTE="Proobie44"][QUOTE="JackMcSexbeard"]I dont know who would win but i know for a fact that Rap would losesarmini

Not just talking real fast, anyone can do that. Its ok if you dont like rap i respect that but it does take a lot of talent to do it right and have solid flow w/ meaningful lyrics. What alot of rappers rap about is probably more honest and intelliagent then the vast majority of music out right now including mainstream and underground. See immortal tecnique, lupe fiasco, common, talid kweli, brother ali, the roots, bone thugs an harmony, 2pac, dead prez etc,,

Seriously go listen to some Deltron 3030, Zion, Illogic, Roots, Dead Prez, A Tribe Called Quest, etc. and start realizing that Soulja Boy does not represent real rap music at all.
I never said that Soulja Boy was real rap. First time I heard it I thought it was just a kid on youtube trying to be cool and I asked my friend "Who's this tool". I know its not real, doesnt even sound real.
And if you want me to listen to them, then you'll have to give me a good song.

These are a just a small sampling but all good.
Okay thats good haha, here's some songs to try and its fine if you don't like them.
Deltron 3030
Ignore the techno at the beginning I dunno why thats there...
Souls of Mischief
Really chill song.
Blackalicious
This one really proves the point that not all rap songs are about drugs and sex.
Immortal Technique
Yeah...doesn't get deeper than this but you have to listen to the whole song. Also try Harlem street or any other song by him.
Then maybe try 1,000 Whispers - Illogic and just listen to the lyrics.
Anyway maybe you'll end up liking one of these songs, maybe not but this is just to show there's more to rap then just MTV's crap.
