Why do so many people believe that countries will go to war just because they are friends with another country? they still need to have a reason for it.

China would. They have nukes, millions of people in the service, relations to the United States, and what does India have, the Taj Mahal? China must be trembling.
And America is freinds with China and India and Russia. How would that play out? We would ask the aggressors to stop, and if they didn't, we would go to war against them. It depends on who starts the war.[QUOTE="Blubadox"]
India is friends with Russia, they have an Aircraft carrier, nuke subs and a large military strength (3rd in the world), they've won several wars...so yeah.

China has more natural resources than india, heck the manchuria province has more natural resources than india has. Both have ridiculously high populations and nukes would not be used or other nations will intervene immediately. So this will end up being a conventional war in which china will win the war of attrition due to more abundant resources, manpower and infrastructure.
Does anybody else find it a little sinister that China has recently constructed a naval base on Sri Lanka, essentially on India's doorstep?
(Access to the port at Hambantota was China's reward for giving the Sri Lankan government billions of dollars in money and war materiel to defeat the Tamil Tiger separatist movement.)

World powers do this kind of stuff all the time. Just look at how many overseas bases the USA, UK, France, Russia have.
They both have a nuclear arsenal, both countries lose in this situation. I think you're the one who needs to "google the matter" .[QUOTE="shakmaster13"]
China. I guess india could throw diseases like malaria at china, but china could throw nukes back :P

The :P is supposed to mean it's a joke... I'm well aware that India has nukes. They just aren't nearly as open about them and NATO isn't up their ass about it.

That's because their government isn't filled with hard-line radicals such as iran and north korea. :P
