There is no best singer.. But, I honestly think Matt Bellamy is the greatest singer I have ever heard. At least in that very general genre ;)

The first minute of Cowgirl in the Sand rocks so hard it's almost orgasmic. Cortez the Killer is good too.

His solo stuff is also amazing, but I never much liked his work with Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Maynard James Keenan, for obvious reasons, just listen to any two tool songs and they sound completely different. The singer from Opeth is pretty good, he's got such a great range of vocals

Manian from Condition K (www.ConditionK.com) He has an amazing voice and is so exciting on stage. I've been extremely lucky to see the band progress over the years and I have no doubt that in the near future they will be huge worldwide. Their current drummer is from Breaking Benjamin, Jeremey Hummel. He left in 2004 and last year CK lost two guys and Jeremey came in and freaking rocks!
