So, I know I don't have a lot of pull around here as I'm a brand spankin new member, but if it's worth anything, I've been coming here pretty much every other day since PS1 to look at game reviews. Anyways, I made this new site,whenrockattacks.blogspot.com,to review my favorite albums and talk about rock music. Please check it out and tell me your thoughts and opinions or even leave a comment (that would be awesome) if you have a blogger account.

Anyways, you guys answering this question can help me figure out what kind of music reviews I should be putting on my blog. My favorite band btw is Led Zeppelin. I have yet to hear a bad Zeppelin song: the guitar solos are crazy good and Bonham is a beast on timing and drumming in general. Blah Blah Blah, they should be on rock band, I know, but that's a whole nother' forum.

(Sorry about the mess-up. Something weird happened and firefox and safari don't get along anymore. And can you guys give me some help on hyperlinking? Is it allowed or no?)

Favorite Rock Band at the moment would have to be either GY!BE or Eagles. The Doors are very high up as well.

I would have to go with either The Doors or Firebird.
The Doors, because I've been listening to them since I was about 4, and they were the first band that I liked. I still like them as much as I did with thier bluesy rock, very psychodelic feel it has. Crystal Ship has to be my favorite by them.
Firebird, I started listening to them because the guitarist, Bill Steer, is in this band I like, Carcass. And I thought I'd check it out. It gave this feeling of Jimi Hendrix and I'm not sure what else, but it's one of my favorite bands. "Zoltana" is my favorite song by them.

Otherside is great! That and Parallel Universe are my favorites off the album.

Isn't "Californication" fairly new compared to their earlier work, though?

He probably just doesn't care for Stadium Arcadium (Dani California, Snow...that other song?) Not really their best. Under the Bridge is their best single, though.

Queen is a favorite of mine due to their diversity and complexity in their songs. I also like the Who because of their style of music being raw and original and they had one of the greatest drummers in history: Keith Moon.

Wolfmother.... Rip off a classic band and then try to pass off the sound as 'new' and 'unique'...

Hell, it seems to work in their case...

My absolute favorite rock band is the Beatles, they did not have anybody that stands out as the greatest on his instrument, but McCatney's vocals are superb and their music is crazy infectious. They started by redefining pop music and finished by redefining rock music. They have contributed more to music than anyone besides maybe Elvis.

I'm really loving As I Lay Dying at the moment. They're on the top of my fav metal bands.

As for older rock, I would have to say The Doors or AC/DC.

Muse, of course.

Because they've never made a bad song, ever, and everything they do live is perfect.

They've got tons of variety and their sound is always changing from one album to the next.

Also, this.

Husker Du. Basically made alternative rock what it is today....also Bob Mould was an insane guitar player and songwriter. Him and Grant Hart (drummer) were probably the best songwriting duo since Lennon and McCartney. They made some of the best albums of the 80s.

Twin isn't bad, it's just really up to Muse standards. Plus it's a B-side, and an old B-side at that, so I can let it slide.

It's still better than a majority of other band's A-sides. :P
