The Clash. Why? Because they rocked all of my socks. Every last pair. That's why.Ninja-Hippo

some of the recent bands I've been listening to.
The Smiths or The Killers.
I don't know.. music is completely subjective to the listener.
Both bands are great songwriters, and filled with talented, trained, and creative musicians.
Both bands just do something for me. Listening to some of their songs just strikes emotion in me.

I really like The Killer's B-side, Sawdust. Tranquilize, Shawdowplay, Move Away, and the Romeo and Juliet cover are great.
rock band? hmmm... Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots
my favourite band is Nile.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers, why? cuz their awesome. :)gorilazandgames
I hear that. Listen to Blood Sugar Sex Magik, and tell me theyre not the greatest. I DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!
Trans-Siberian Orchestra... if they can be rock. Not sure about the TC's defination of rock is, but these guy are rock in my book. Why are they my favorite? I love classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, you know) and these guys give it awesome guitar and stuff. Their live shows are also simply some of the best around.Grodus5
Interesting choice. I guess they're a band. They've come near my town a couple times but I never got to go see them :(
Audioslave is not bad for me, especially during the Chris Cornell era.
Apart from that maybe Cream for Eric Clapton's amazing guitar work. I can't really think much now though.

What's the "Chris Cornell era"? Surely all of Audioslave is a "Chris Cornell era"?
Anyway, it would probably be Pearl Jam for me, or Bruce Springsteen + E Street Band. And whilst I sort of like the Chili Peppers, I think they're new stuff is very stale and boring. They're a terrible live band as well.
