I think it's consumers like you that turn people from the iMac. People who know their stuff about computers get frustrated when someone's requirements is "is it shiny and ergonomic?"effthat
Yeah, but I just wanted a computer that looked good. i just use the iWork programs, and internet. I don't do anything else, and if I'm just going to use it for 5 programs, then I want it to look good while doing it. Money isn't really a factor for me...
Mac products only sell because they are "in" not because of their abilitysoiguessialive
I agree, Macs are like designer sunglasses whereas PCs are like night-vision goggles.

Seriously? Are you also eager to pay a premium for a "stylish" washing machine, toaster, toilet paper dispenser, etc?[QUOTE="effthat"]I think it's consumers like you that turn people from the iMac. [QUOTE="Bio_Spark"]Lol at the guy that seems to only have paper, no laptop at all. :P
MacBooks are cooler.

What ****is that?! I have never seen a college ****with that many laptops. Also, pen and paper is a luxury! Most profs put their powerpoints online, some even post podcasts. It seems to me that the ****oom shown above is more prone to distractions and cheating. It would take all of 3 minutes to set up an Ad Hoc and start blasting ****ates.

Jeez, you guys talk about Mac's as if they are $3700 Givenchy coats. Yes they are a luxury, but you know, I DO have a PC for work purposes upstairs. I just wanted to try something new, and so far it handles very well. I think I might even get a Macbook Pro just for the road. Also the thing gets like no viruses whatsoever. So, that's a plus:P PC for work, mac for fun, and iTunes lol.MGSFan92
I would see it the other way around. There is much more games for PC than Mac.

Yeah, but like I said, I don't game on home computers, just consoles. It's only because I prefer sitting on my sofa, and playing with a normal gamepad. I know you can do that with Computer gaming, but I like to keep things simple, hence why I bought both the Mac and the PC

I like my Vaio.
My Artorius Pro pwns all! Mwahahahaha! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I dont understand their commercials. They are very misleading but are kinda funny at times. But yea, they are misleading. Cant they get in trouble for that or not?Tjeremiah1988
Actually, they are very informitive.
The mac wastes his money and cant afford a shave, or a new jacket, but is perfectly happy due to, well, I'm not at liberty to say.
The PC is a successful business man who can afford a new suit due to the fact that he works and gets paid doing spreadsheets and not making pretty photo albums, yet does have some problems.
I bought an iMac in February and it works magnificently. It's simple to use, and the software includes step-by-steps for everything. I don't really PC game all that much, so I decided to buy this after awhile. Yeah, $2700 may be expensive to some, but the reason I bought it was for the glossy screen, and lack of a tower. More space! If you have the money go for it. P.S. I'm a major splurger:PMGSFan92
i like macs.... I just dont have one... I have big black fan glowing and humming right now... but I like my monitor.... Anyway Macs aren't that bad... I just hate the no right click crap....
You can get a special mouse for that. Though I haven't, as I just use the CTRL + click for those things, it's pretty simple once you get the hang of things. P.S. If I got everyone on this board to hate me, well I must apologize, but I just wanted to be informative and not a thorn in anyone's side...MGSFan92Nah, no one hates you. It's just that spending extra money to make something functional "look cool" is kinda weak. Especially when you're spending more than double just for aesthetics vs. the cost for base functionality.
I own a Macbook and I love it. Macs > PCsRenegadePatriotIsn't the Kool-Aid delish?! Edit: Thanks, internetz!

you can right click now actually on the newer models, just click the right side of the mouse
I didn't find it as being too costly, or overpriced. Though I redid my office downstairs, to give it a modern feel, and I thought the iMac would go well, but I really bought it for the lack of viruses. I was sick of my PC always crashing. With me always having to shell out hundreds to repair it. I figured that overall the Mac would be cheaper than constantly getting the PC fixed. So I try to lay low with the PC and just use it for it's programs. While the Mac takes up most of my internet time.MGSFan92It has been way more than a year since I've gotten a virus. ;)

i said the same thing, but when i was looking for a laptop that i would want for college, like a really cool one, the only one that i could find that had everything i wanted and that a mac book had it was only about 200$ cheaper and it was the ugliest thing ive ever seen and way to heavy so i can see why people like macs, because i do lol.. but the biggest reason i made the switch was that viruses were getting out of hand, i kept getting him, ive had my imac for 2 years, and it still works just as well as it did the day i bought it, and its lasted about 2.3 times longer than any pc ive ever had.. so thats why i go with them plus ive got all the consoles so i play enough games as it is
