Why all the hate on Nickelback?

I personally like the band's music. But it seems like a lot of people seem to hate these guys for no legitamite reason. Care to enlighten me?

Well, Nickelback is one of those suckish bands that you don't admit that you like, but you do like. And that makes you feel guilty, so you tell everyone you hate them. Not me, thought, I have another suckish band I secretly like - Theory of a Deadman. But, they sound almost identical to Nickelback, so...

People dislike most stuff that are good, this is why there are so many sucky and horrible movies out now.

Other than that they're OK, too much hate from teh internetz, but too much love in teh real world.

I don't have a problem with "simple" bands as long as they're creative, which Nickelback is not.

Fame usually doesn't do with skill. Look at Paris Hilton for example, she sucks and she's very famous

you are not going to win this on this particular forum believe me I have tried. Nickelback is a good band and in fact I have been to one of their concerts and they know how to put on a great show complete with drum solos, fire, and videos. Not to mention great music, but you are still going to lose this particular battle.

Cause they aren't any good. Plus they played here recently and my brother and I just happened to be at a small bar they showed up at. Needless to say, though I didn't talk to them, they left a bad impression on everyone.btaylor2404

Their vocalist sounds like crap, I dont know how anyone could stand him. And their lyrics or just plain bad.

And to agree with an above poster, most of their songs DO sound too similar. Not in a good way either.

Because I dont like the singers voice, and the themes of their songs are boring sometimes.

Simple Rock can be great if done right. Look at ACDC, it's as simple as it can get, yet they pull it off so well. Nickleback just is not good at what they try to do.

There was once a saying that Grunge was "three chords and the truth". Stickleback (Picklesack) is "two chords and whatever the record label calls for". CRAP.

The lead singers head is apparently a magnet for rocks
