Facebook, MySpace, Twitter. Are they really useful?

You can post your pics in your Profile here if you want to. You can post email addys on your About Me page. You got PMs and blogs, and you can insert images in both.

If you're spending a lot of time here, I wonder why someone would use those sites.

One thing that would blow my mind is someone saying social network sites are so great, but their Profile here is empty.:P:lol:

Sure, comment on a friend's Blog, for one thing. At least the people who are on my Friends List want their blogs to get comments.:)

And if I get a Friend Request from someone I don't really know, of course I'll look at their Profile.

No u really cant compare this to facebook or any other social network because there is simply no girls on gamespot...i mean there is but theres not enough..i think its cool wat gamespot has here wit all the forums, this a good place to find information from others but the mods are really frustrating sometimes..no disrespect to the mods intended they're just doing their job i guess

I used to think the same way, but Facebook has done wonders with staying in touch with old high school friends. It's nice to know I'm further along than most of my graduating class.

Most people aren't that into video games buddy. And those sites are way better than this one, and used for different purposes.

Social networking sites are just easier.

No one I know has an account on this website and for this website, a profile is like a side thing whereas the social networking sites are based solely on a profile.

They have been very useful since I graduated high school, great way to keep in touch with people and the comparisons with this site are useless, most people don't have friends and family on this site, they are completely different.

If you move a lot to a different city/country ONE profile on ONE site is a good way to stay in touch with friends/relatives. Most people have a gazillion profiles and simply accept every friend request they get... how many of those 500 people under their friends list they actually know in the flesh is a mistery >.>

twitter is crap if you ask me - nobody needs a play by play of someone else's life...
