Well, how did you expect him to react if you throw a racist stereotype at him?

bloodling

Just because it's a stereotype doesn't make it racist...it's RACIAL...B I G difference...

omg... racial is racist! People are different, you know. We're not talking about statistics.

A racial statement isn't a racist statement...honestly this just shows how ignorant you are.

Saying blacks are more likely to get diabetes and that Asians tend to be shorter is a racial statement...

You really need to look up the definition of the word racist.

How are you to know the answer to something if you are barred from inquiring about it? I see it as a valid question. Being black myself, I never witnessed many other black people clamoring for the grape drink/juice/soda.

I do not like stereotypes so they should not be put in the ears of whoever might be offended, even if they are wrong to be offended, because in stereotypes there is something and there is a target.

This.

Why is there a glut of low level users with few posts making either race-related or religious related threads? Thats the far more interesting question.

Did you just read my last sentence? If you did you should've known exactly what I meant. Of course racial is not racist.

I mean, really this is just a bad joke. Some people laugh, some get offended.

"african americans"?? thats pretty racist. It's americans with african descent. ReaperV7

Thats a bit of a mouthful to spit out. I'm not being racist or anything, but African American is a fairly easy politically correct way to specifically ask something about well, black Americans. Plus not all "Americans with African descent" are black and given the topic title this is clearly a question regarding racism and "people of color".

As for you TC...I have no idea really why thats offending I suggest just not using it. I mean you do have to understand African Americans have gone through alot and in some social situations as well as geographical areas they still face many challenges.

Should I throw a tantrum every time I'm offered a slice of watermelon? Or should I give a reasonable answer and just let all other implications go? Only one of these possible responses are silly... I can't expect every other race to take a "being around black people" class. If I sense that someone is trying to be an ass, then I'd ignore them but if its a real question, I have no problem giving a real answer.
