Bull. If you think we weren't killing off opposing tribes when we were only isolated tribes consisting of only a few hundred people, you're out of your mind.

Hell, even TODAY there are still small tribes of "indigenous peoples" who battle each other. Not everyone lives in cities and drives cars. There are still small tribes who live out in the middle of the jungle, and have been fighting the tiny tribe on the other side of the mountain for the last 200 years.

Thats explains your view right there. What the news reports on is such a small part of what happens in our world that it doesn't give you an appropriate view of the events that transpire in context. Did anyone see the news story about the person who picked up some rubbish or the neighbor that helped out a needy family? No, because it doesn't have the same impact as a murder or a war because we live in a "Train Wreck Society" which the media is happy to capitalize on.

Are we Barbaric in general? No, but the actions of a few seems to imply that we are as a whole.

humans aren't animals. if we were animals, we woulden't have cities, roads, farming, what have you
