Why are people in the Middle East so angry and pissed off?

It's only the extremist (Al Queda). The Christians/Muslims there want peace. The extemist muslims want holy war.

The problem is that a lot of the Islam Apologists like to claim that Islam preaches peace. But for every "peaceful" verse they can find out of the Quran, you can literally find 3 more which order war against anyone who DOESN'T practice Islam. The religion is so incredibly backwards it makes Christianity look like a paragon of logic.

Find me a verse, that preachs to kill innocent non-Muslims while remaining in context with the chapter.

And not everyone in the Middle East agree upon terrorism and other extremist acts. I believe that is my point.

Well you should have said that in the first place. The middle east is messed up because colonial powers in the 19th century carved it up for themselves and left them with corrupt pupet governments.Darthmatt

Sarcasm doesn't show so well in written form. I agree that the colonial expansion and withdrawal has created a rather unstable area called the Middle East, but I don't see it as more unstable or more... "pissed off" than other places of the world. I believe Africa has alot of problems with paramilitary groups, and why not just throw Ireland into it as well. The big difference is that the west, AKA USA, where most Gamespot users live, have large interest in the natural resources of the middle east. That's why the middle east extremists show larger interest in the west and everything that USA stands for, than feks. African paramilitary groups.

People in the Middle East aren't angry and pissed off, well most of them aren't. I live in Dubai which is in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) It's completely normal here I don't know where any of you got the idea of people being insane there... many celebrities are investing in property here and the worlds tallest building is under construction (its the worlds tallest building already and they're STILL building it :| ) People are like any other people around the world, sometimes the Muslim women can seem a little disdainful though.

BTW there are like 10000000000000000 times more Ferraris here than in America and if I look outside my window, I can see a freaking STRETCH HUMMER it's like 10 metres long.
