Guys most definitely can be feminists. I know plenty of male feminists, or at least we've always considered them to be feministsjacintos09~-~We don't like to admit that because of what the term means now a days.>.>...~-~

I'd be totally up for that :D. I'm not scared of a fight
What if they had a gun? :P
[QUOTE="wookieeassassin"]Why are some reason so feminist? Women are just as good at men, and we can wear clothes exactly like them and do manual labor just like them. And, we are being oppressed, because men look at us in "that way" Ok, sure some have valid arguments, like being able to vote, but some even take it to the extreme that if they were married and had a son they would get mad and pretend he was her daughter by dressing him up (how gross, why would anyone do that?)

Can someone translate this please?

well i guess if that's the terminology y'all use then cool, it just sounds odd. i mean even if a guy fully supports every feminist position, he can never truely know what it is to be a women. well.. unless of course with the help of modern surgery, but that aside, Is it more the 'metrosexual' guys or just 'normal' ones??

And that's where you're wrong.
Example: Martin Luther King.
EDIT: more examples:
- Florence Nightingale
- Mother Teresa
- Mahatma Gandhi
- The Buddah
You might want to elaborate a bit if you want to explain your examples. I know that there are certain individuals who lead and inspire people, but in the end only the actions of the many can have a profound impact on society. That's not to say I think it's hopeless for just one person to make a change, but he or she has to organize him- or herself. I'm not organized currently but I sympathize with Worker's Power, which is an international socialist league. I'm not going to be the activist because someone tells me to - I fight for my own interests. I've been one before, today I lay low. The struggle is hard as it is sometimes, and we're people, not machines. One shouldn't give up though.
- Martin Luther King began the elimination of the Slave Trade and massive racism.
- Florence Nightingale was the pionerr of modern nursing.
- Mother Teresa was a devoted figurehead for all sorts of humanitarian work.
- Mahatma Gandhi was a spiritual leader and promoted non-violence in all situations. A true idol if ever there was one.
- The Buddah kickstarted, and was the inspiration for,an entire religion which is focussed on self-improvement and actualisation.
In my opinion these people certainly did make huge differences and changed the world for the better. Single people; big effect.

He was a massive effect on the anti-segregation movement. Still a pretty big thing in my books.
[QUOTE="blooddemon666"]If you want equality, why do you still have maternity leave from work?jacintos09
guys can get paternity leaves, at least at some jobs they can
Some, not most. Unlike women we dont have a legal right to it. And i also must disagree with the OP on some points. With the exception of very few rare cases, womendo not do as well, or even close to as well, as men do in Manual labor. Men are naturally stronger in the upper body andcan build up more muscle and faster than women. There are of course exceptions when you get women who pump themselves up with steroids and testosterone.
One day perhaps people will except that men and women are different physically, and perform better/worse at different activities. Take it as you will, but i'd rather have a male Fireman carry me out of a burning building(if i was unable to get out myself)...I dont like being dropped....
As to what feminists do to their children...well it's just what you get from extremist ideologies. Considering feminism is based on the very false premisis that the bodies of both men and women are identical, it makes the movement extremist and ignorant from the start. There are some feminists that go so far as to hate the very exsistence of marriage and even men themselves. I'm telling you, there will come a day where feminists want an "Artificial Incubator" so that women no longer need to give birth to their own children...unless feminism ends, you just wait...itl happen...

lol i'm pretty sure i'd feel the same way about intruders who have guns as guys feel when they're going to confront them heh
in response to my example of mothers doing odd things to their sons because they are mad they got a son, there are accounts where women have done that, although that is a REALLY extremist view, and/or said women probably have some really odd, gross fetish. Also, even if it is rare, there are women who are so odd about it that they punish their sons by making them dress up. I do not even think that is feminism, it is just plain creepy and in my opinion really wrong.
But anyways, yes women and men are NOT the same. Sorry. Men are going to be better at some things and women are going to be better at others. The whole idea of "I am a woman and I can do anything a man can" is bull. Sure, you can have the same job as a man, or even wear the same clothes as a man, but that does not mean you are suited equally for jobs. Think about it, the same things that some women do, like working the same as men, or being able to dress similar if it were the opposite with the men doing those things e.g. women's clothes or a predominately woman's job the women would be most likely be mad and think it was really gross (which IMO the womens clothes IS gross, but it is that some of their viewpoints are not double sided)
I am not promoting men as opposed to women however, as women that are treated poorly because of their gender (sexual organ mutilation, being pretty much property, etc.) is wrong, but those that think that women and men are equal and should be treated that way are wrong. Everyone should get respect and have rights, but that does not mean that women and men are equal in all areas.

No effect without the masses perhaps, but it only takes a single person to start a revolution, so to speak; a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and so on.
If no-one ever did anything because they had the "one person can't make a difference" outlook, the global history would read very differently.
Oh, and you don't need to act in such a condescending manner next time.

I cant imagine living like that.. whether being an it or a "woman"
btw you are a man or a woman? A post like that coming from a woman would be awesome.
Anyways, yes, the idea of making boys more feminine is that really large part of feminism that bothers me. The whole express your feminine side stuff going around is garbage. Also, the hate against men is stupid.
I am sure there are some feminists that are not like that and actually care about women not being mistreated as a whole, but really women have it pretty good. Women are generally thrown more compliments, and people show better manners around them in most cases. At least in the US. In some other countires women as a whole are generally mistreated, but not here. They have pretty good freedom of speech to have the movements and rallies they have here, in any other country where they are second class citizens that would not be going on.

That's what formula is for :|
I was a formula babie
Just because the can't talk doesn't mean they don't disagree. And if they're dead they can't disagree anyway.
I'll respond to the main post. Some feminists try to talk about equality and stuff, and if you've noticed they already have that. Retarded warped females don't want equality, they want to OPRESS men. They want all the power and they should just ****ing suck it up (not like that). I'm not sexist, yes, I'm a womaniser, I'd rather see a girl ina bikini than a suit, because as a male I have strong sexual urges that overpower logic and blahblahblah. But by no means do I consider myself to be more importnat or better or more powerful than any woman, or better for any trait based of gender.
In fact, one thing I comend women on is the fact that generally, they can cook and clean and take care of children and family matters so well. At the end of the day these are the most important things to EVERYBODY and women can do that better than men. I feel a little jealous actually.
It;s those crazy feminists that are lesbians and want to be alone all their lives that try and make out how opressed they are. There are millions of women that are independant, but also depend on a man, for whatever reason, be it financial, emotional, physical, and still feel "free". Feminists are just on the extreme side of things, and like all extremeists they're naive and ignorant.
/rant
Sorry to disappoint, wookie, but I'm male. :P
Anyhow, yeah, I heard a story that over in England a man got so distressed that he was a man that he cut off his own unit or at least tried to. I hear all kinds of weird stories like that so they kind of run together. :P
In order to further the argument against feminism: Why don't they rail against the fundamentalist Muslims that treat women so badly and even stone rape VICTIMS to death?

And that is why you are a freak of science. :x
Just kidding.
Thing is, there must be some form of round the clock parenting that needs to be done for the first few months after childbirth, and many mothers either can't leave the child during that period because they have no one else to watch them (this is a significant reason, since the dawn of nuclear sized families) or because they just want to (also pretty significant, but only socially so).
