Why are there so many depressing people in the world?

There's a certain breed of people that seems to be spreading quite quickly. People who are so miserable, you wonder weather or not they have ever smiled in their entire life, and often resemble zombies. These people often tend to work in the public service. IE supermarkets and other such establishments.

Why are there so many of these people around? Perhaps the zombie apocalypse is upon us! :o

because not everyone is born with a silver spoon in their mouths and of course the old saying "life isn't fair"

Both. I generally become depressed and annoyed at how depressing these people are. You crack a joke and they look at you and say "Oh...".

Reality is a harsh place to live. I'm grateful to live a life as a human, but to live in this tragic world as a human makes me really depressed. Why? Well, so many things have happened to me in the past, present and will happen in the future. But I try to keep my both legs up, but all in the same time there's always a wall blocking my path and a boulder knocking me down. Welis

And that keeps me somewhat sane and prevents me from going on some psychotic mass killing at my job. I work in public service (grocery store) and that certainly does add to the hopeless view of humanity. I'd much rather live as a plant or animal, since they aren't conscious enough to give a **** about all the small, petty, and unimportant things that we humans constantly stress about.
