There is no reason other than that. Why so many have a hard time dealing with the triviality of their existence is beyond me. Let's make the best of it and be civil to each other, while living out our meaningless existences, as a "best practice".
I don't view life as trivial. Nothing in this observed universe of ours compares to "life". I can't "accept" what I truly don't believe. I don't consider myself delusional or afraid of death either.PS. I totally screwed up the syntax flow on this one- blame my drunkenness...
Life is not about belief, it is about observation. There is no statistical doubt that life in the pseudo-advanced form that we know it as, exists elsewhere in the Universe. It is not miraculous, it is the Universe. It is physics, chemistry, and biology. It is good that you are not afraid of death, but do not also be afraid of your own physical/biochemical existence and bogus holier-than-thou interpretation of life contained within.
Everything is about belief. If you think life is meaningless, that's a belief, not a fact. Both religion and science require some form of faith. Theories of what, why, when and where are all subject, including the theory of nothing matters. It is through observation that has lead me to believe in my interpretation of our universe and exsistence. To think you have the answer to what life truly is is fairly arrogant and it is why we will always continue the search for the answers to the questions that never end.
