Why are women considered equal as men?

If a man punched a man, it would be okay, but when a man punches a woman, they're looked bad. I know the reason, it's because us men are stronger, then why are women considered equal. It just annoys me that if women can join the military, police, and everything, then they should take it like men too. I feel sometimes I'm treated like a 2nd class citizen.

 EDIT: I don't mean all women are weak, I know plenty that can kick ass, which is why this topic gets me mad when a man is looked as bad.

Well, most people believe this. I have never met any person that believed what I believed. Is this what feminism is or is it the complete opposite. 

How can 2 different creatures be equal. men and women are bilologicaly different, therefor they can never be equal. Just like the fact men are more atheletic can never be changed.

In society women have the advantage as they are looked upon as week and fragiole and needing protection, which may or may not be true.

Men and women are less equal than men would say, but more equal than a feminist would say.  It depends who you ask.

A man is generally better when it comes to physical exertion, but of course, there are exceptions. And ...as we all know, one cannot last without the other.

Ya, I agree. However, there are more women in the world than men, but men still dominate the world in politics and earning money. Also, men are smarter, it's a fact. Boys score higher on the SATs in high school, and men score higher on IQ tests. But it isn't by much and the gap is closing in.
