On ms notepad why can't we save the sentence "bush hid the facts" (when we open the saved file the sentence ain't there). I mean that we purchase this windows and have full authority to use notepad to save whatever text we like so why prevent this?MFaraz_Hayat

Mine too! But the big question is WHY?
mine tooi did that exact thing and it worked. but when i put in different text, and saved it, reopened it then typed it again and saved it, it worked.
must be something to do with saving it or something.Â
Works for meGuiltfeeder566
Â
did u type it with or w/o the quotes? b/c if u type it with the quotes it works but w/o u just get rectangles and chinese (apparently)Â
so i did some research (spending less than 3 minutes on google) and found out that if u type any four letter word followed by two three letter words and then followed by a five letter word and then save the document, close it and open it again, you will get code. (note that all the letters have to be lower case) its not a conspiracy its just that notepad sucks at reading things.
Â
ex: xxxx xxx xxx xxxxx is the same thing as "bush hid the facts"
as much as i hate Bush, im pretty sure someone knew about this notepad glitch and took advantage of it to make a political statement about our dumb president.Â
