Why does the existence of life need purpose? Why can it not just be a self-fulfilling system? If we take the age of the universe, and extrapolate it's total length onto a single "calendar year", humanity, since it's evolutionary beginnings ~100,000 years ago, and the entirety of it's accomplishments, would only account for 10 seconds of that whole year (there are a total of 31,557,600 seconds in a year btw). And that is up to the present point. That doesn't include the next 10+ billion years of the universe's lifetime. If we try to find a purpose for our existence beyond ourselves and those around us, we will only come up empty. Find empowerment in knowing that only you have the power to make your life meaningful and enjoyable.Zeviander
