My username is just a combination of my favorite villain's name and my own name.

Wow, this thread is so old, but it's so interesting to learn why people chose the names they did. I chose mine becuase I find that I constantly strive for perfection. But as many people know, attaining perfection is impossible, and trying to do so is a negative way to live out life. Thus, i strive to achieve the closest to perfection as possible which I consider to be 99.9%. Because of this, I decided that ninedot would be the best way to depict this rather than alternative options of nineninedot, or nineninedotnine, etc... In the end, Ninedot was "born".

My Aol screen name is whoopassmt but for some reason Gamespot wouldn't let me use that name (I figured maybe someone else already had it) so I put whipassmt as the next closest thing.

Ratchet and Clank was my favourite game on the PS2 back in the day but just 'Ratchet' was taken so i put a random number on the end :D

Since my YouTube Channel (where the name originates from) doesn't show a full info anymore (thanks YT for even taking THAT feature out >_> ) where it was described in a pretty long manner I'll just give the short version here:

mine is not actually named off of don quixote's steed, rocinante, but after the spaceship called rocinante in the song cygnus x-1, by rush. i just really loved the part in that song: "on my ship, the rocinante, wheeling through the galaxies..."

i really need to finish that book (don quixote), though. got 100 pages in or so, really liked it, stopped for some reason, been sitting on my shelf ever since :P

It was my LIVE name, I named it after the Pearl Jam song I liked at the time (and it sort of had a gamer feel) and my age. And that was 7 years ago, oh how I wish I was 20 again.
