John 3:16 (New International Version)
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
How is this even an inspirational quote? So some uber-powerful dude kills his own son, and I am supposed to find this enlightening somehow?Nickelback4Life
I know man. God is a freakin coward.
"I sacrificed my son for you!"
Wow I bet Jesus feels great that his purpose in life was to be thrown under the bus. I bet he loves his dad.
Because they wanna represent they hood?
Three-sixteen throw ya' hands up! Yee-uh!

:DEspecially atheletes.vStone Cold Steve Austin. Tim Tebow.Let me ask you this question, if you have kids, would you die for your kids? Similarly, the Son that the verse is referring to is Christ, and Christ Himself is the incarnation of God himself. To sum it up, it's God Himself who is willing to die to give us eternal life.

Considering that that verse sums up the entire central tenet of Christianity in a single, easy-to-remember sentence, I'd say it is to be expected that people will say it a lot.
By the way, aren't you the guy who made the topic about how you aren't normal if you don't believe in God? :|

It's also a bit like contract killing. He has a target and gets people to kill that target.

God did die on the cross, but he died for a reason. It's the only way that we can truly conquer death. He took every sin known to humankind and took it down with Him to death, and God himself rose again on the 3rd day. How do I know that God Himself is still alive? Why would I be typing this for all of you to enjoy?God did die on the cross, but he died for a reason. It's the only way that we can truly conquer death. I don't intend to offend.
Personally I have seen no evidence, other than circumstantial, to prove that anything divine exists.
[QUOTE="3-Legged_Man"] I understand that, but what am I supposed to do? Do you want me to just take his abuse? All this little kid does is try to start wars with his immature comments. I don't care who started what; I want him to stop, and I want you to stop, and I'm going to start moderating whoever doesn't. That argument is totally off-topic and is a quick trip to nowheresville, to boot.
 whenever you see christians in a title, it an automatic troll topic supa_badman:lol: Fun times

There are many people who believe for reasons all their own; it's not as if the only way to believe in God is to have someone else tell you he exists.

Exactly. Such reductionist thinking inevitably refutes itself: who told the first guy to make up a religion that God exists if someone has to be told that God exists in order to believe in God?
