Why do foreigners like to classify americans?

Ugh. I have nothing against Americans, but when they get all "Why does the rest of the world hate us?" it pisses me off. first of all, you shouldn't call us foreigners, because, obviously, you are foreigners to everyone else. We don't classify you. Some idiots may, but the vast, vast majority do not. It's more often you Americans that classify us.JJ4545

Uh...the term foreigner shouldn't be an insult. If I went to the UK...I'm sure they'd say I was a foreigner...and you know what? They'd be right. You're complaining about generalizing....by generalizing.:?

I lived in the US for 2 years before I moved to Canada and I heard my mates and their family say stupid stuff about the French and Canadians once in a while....the ones they critized the most though was middle easterners...racist jokes and stuff like that.

However , this was in Pensacola, Florida...they don't represent the entire USA.....

I love my American heritage but its not just the other countries that talk trash. Its the world that talks trash because everyone adapts to their surrounding and dont want to accept others.

I see it a good thing that every place is different. Why would someone want to explore the world if everything was the same? I like what is offered besides the people filled with hatred. Then again without hatred the population would be to high, so I say not all bad is actually BAD.

Doesn't matter where they live...your friends wouldn't be representative anyway. In addition, other countries have citizens that do the exact same thing. Pfft...even amongst just the UK, I've seen them "generalize" the other UK countries. It occurs everywhere....not just the US..

So why be hypocritical?

What I'm doing is saying that using the word 'foreigners' in a derogatory sense can be done by both Americans and everyone else. I'm trying to say it's not like the world can be split up into America and then everyone else.
