[QUOTE="th3warr1or"] The thing is it's okay if you keep stuff that isn't related to us a secret.. But what irritates me is when a girl(friends or otherwise) make it clear that they are annoyed with me, but refuse to disclose the reasons and expect me to work it out. th3warr1or

If I'm annoyerd about someone, i'll let them know if they want :P

Which solves a lot of problems, because firstly if we had any intention of changing, this speeds the process up. And even if telling me what the problem is doesn't make you feel better, chances are like I said, if I had any intention of changing(most probably when I ask I do), it will help to prevent me from repeating it. But the major and annoying bit(sometimes girls think that they're the only ones annoyed) is when you let me know in no uncertain terms that the problem is with me(i'm fine with that) but you refuse to disclose what the problem is exactly and then do the "leeaaveee meee aloneeee" thing.

I agree, it really doesnt help the problem, thats why i dont do that lol

My best friend has the best way to deal with this. As he is about to enter a relationship he says to his prospective girlfriend, "If you are mad at me, you must tell me. I am a guy and I do not know what I have done. If you don't tell me what I did then I won't know to fix it and if I ask you what's wrong and you say nothing then I will believe you." He usually ends it with, "I don't care if you're mad at me and I won't get defensive if you tell me I did something wrong but I can't fix it if I don't know what you're mad about."

I just bug the crap out of my girl until she tells me. Then I tell her to shuddup. HA!

The thing is, that only works IF you're in a relationship. If it's just a friend(somewhat weird friendship, we're close.. and discuss weird stuff that I wouldn't to someone I'm not close to, but yet there's a certain amount of... restraint in the conversations).

It is. Some things can be blatently obvious to girls, but lads will have no idea. It's pretty frustrating being a girl tbh, because you literally have to spell things out for lads. The only apologies I've got from Hero is when I've ASKED for an apology, otherwise he'd just do what lads think they should do and leave me alone which actually makes things worse.

I can't speak for everyone, but I usually am singing the Meow Mix song in my head when my girlfriend is yelling at me.

lol, I usually picture that omaha beach scene in saving private ryan and I think about how much I would rather do that in real life than listen to my woman **** and moan about some completely insignificant thing i did or said

That's because when guys make girls angry, we're not supposed to tell you why you ****ed up. If you don't know what you did wrong then you obviously don't deserve to know.

This is the attitude that confuses guys. If we are mad at someone, we let them know why. How difficult is that?

Not very hard at all. Yet, if you're not going to pay attention to the situation it's not gonna make us feel good. So instead we let it fester until the opprotune moment and spring our trap when it's least expected.

They either want to know if we are aware of the "mistake" we made or they simply want us to show that we care for them and ask "What did I do wrong?".

Because you should already know. Atleast if you ask it at least makes us feel a little better that you're aware.

I find most of the time it's just them playing games with atypical passive aggressive overtones. As long as you don't suspect it's something very personal and serious I found it's best to not play along and just go about your business as if nothing iswrong. Eventually they will get tired of you not falling for their game and they will have to get over it themselves or they will have to attempt to discuss it like a normal human being. Either way they will most likely feel silly for holding out the info.

Of course this only works if YOU DON'T ALWAYS ACT AND SAY FOOLISH AND HURTFUL THINGS!

I find it far more infuriating when they DONT tell you that they're pissed at you, but make it ridiculously obvious that they are, whilst maintaining that they aren't every time you ask if everything is ok.

He usually ends it with, "I don't care if you're mad at me and I won't get defensive if you tell me I did something wrong but I can't fix it if I don't know what you're mad about."

th3warr1or

The thing is, that only works IF you're in a relationship. If it's just a friend(somewhat weird friendship, we're close.. and discuss weird stuff that I wouldn't to someone I'm not close to, but yet there's a certain amount of... restraint in the conversations).

You allow girls that you aren't in a relationship with to have sway over your life and your decisions? I don't let anyone sway what I want to do except for my girlfriend, because that's what being a boyfriend/girlfriend is about. If a friend gets mad at me we just don't talk or change the subject until we're cooled down but to let someone I'm not in a relationship with get that mad at me or to allow them to be that influential over me... that's absurd. I hope this makes sense. I guess you have to have been there.

To everyone who quoted me, please remember to read this part, "As he is about to enter a relationship he says to his prospective girlfriend, ..." If a "counter attack" is triggered, as someone said or if any single part of that is not agreed to, my friend shuts them down. It's a dealbreaker for him. In essence, he's saying this, "You accept these terms or we don't date. I'm not tying myself to someone who isn't going to be logical."

It's worked for him so far. Grow a back bone and stand up for yourself.

Here's another incident;

He was holding her soft hand as they walked along the moonlit beach. What a wonderful day they'd spent today. Suddenly- WHACK!- she slaps his face and says "That's for what you did on December 12, 1992 at 7 PM!"

Personally, if I do that, I'm probably embarrassed, or it's hard to explain the reason that I'm upset. But yeah, it's always easier if people will tell you outright what is wrong, and I try to do that if I can.

Hate it when girls are like that and my ex was like that! I knew she was pissed at me but whenever I talked to her she would say "Oh I've got nothing against you, I'm perfectly fine" but then she would treat me like crap and show me she's obviously pissed and when I ask her friends they would say "She told me the other day that you pissed her off, what did you do?". Pfff, it's annoying and it seems really stupid but guys will have to put up with it. How you deal with it? I'm not too sure.

[QUOTE="th3warr1or"]Seriously, why do some(for the benefit of the doubt of the possibility that the majority are not like that) girls have this attitude like they will tell you they're pissed or annoyed with you, but they won't tell you why and if you ask they'll just say to leave them alone(sounds rather freaky tbh, imagine Smeagol saying "LEAVE US ALONE!!").

But in all seriousness, why are they like that, do you have those problems and how do you deal with that?

Just 'leaving it be' doesn't really help because it may help for that day, for that week or even that month. But there'll come a time when you don't know what or why you're doing something wrongly and they're annoyed and they'll just explode and tell you to GTFO permanently. This in itself annoys me to be honest.

Hey hun, guys do it too, it isn't just girls. = ( trust me on this.

and hey, not to be a hypocrite but the banana phone song works well too!
as well as the sped-up version for use in more extreme situations.

NOW YOU CAN HAVE YOUR PHONE AND EAT IT TOO!
