The first Soulja Boy song I heard was this and despite not liking rap too much I kind of liked it. (I still do, it's really catchy.:)) Then I found out that it was a remix and heard his real song.:| I'm just glad I didn't admit to like "Soulja Boy" before I realized that it wasn't this. So to answer your question TC, if by "Soulja Boy" you mean that then I don't blame you and agree. But if you mean his real stuff, well, to each his own.
His songs are pretty catchy.. the tune anyway.. however check out the song Yah to see how rubbish his music really is. The lyrics are the worst i've seen in a song.. and the chorus makes no sense.
Crank That is simply a dumb, fun, silly, enjoyable song to listen to in the car or out at a bar or a club. How many times have you been out in a club where soulja boy comes on and everyone goes crazy? It's simply a great song to dance to. I think it only receives so much hate because people take it too seriously and think there are honestly people who sit at home listening to it, who love it for it's musical integrity.
