Fairly obvious. It is the largest entertainment hub is the US. Tons of studios, agencies, etc. are located there. SaintLeonidas
doesn't mean you have to live there and raise your family there

It does if you want to be close to your job, opportunities and be close to your family. Or do you think it would be better for them to raise their family in New York, but have to be away from them in L.A. working? Bad enough they might have to travel for their work to shoot, perform, etc.[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]Fairly obvious. It is the largest entertainment hub is the US. That's Utah...
yeah, right
colorado is part of the bible belt though so there are still tons of religious zealots out there
Do they really live in LA or do they really live in the surrounding suburbs and claim they live in a more recognisable area?

That's part of it, but they're obviously not hurting for money. They can build anywhere and travel if they need to, perhaps even have a temporary home in LA (in fact a good deal of actors do). Back before LA grew into what it was there was plenty of beautiful landscape, it's in a great location as far as climate is concerned, and actors were drawn to the location because they could build giant houses on large swaths of land in a beautiful environment. That's basically continued up until present day with many celebrities building or buying large houses out there. However, that's trend is slowing down a bit because LA is becoming a bit too crowded and overdeveloped for many of them. The new trend now is to move out to Montana and, surprise surprise, as they move in, build large houses, and bring business development with them, parts of Montana are now starting to become overdeveloped. Basically, rich people find nice places to live and make them into not-so-nice places to live.

LA...who would want to live in London lol?

But does the richest man in the world live there?[QUOTE="black_chamber99"][QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]Fairly obvious. It is the largest entertainment hub is the US. Tons of studios, agencies, etc. are located there. SaintLeonidas

Bad enough they might have to travel for their work to shoot, perform, etc. Jeez, that's something I would think about when choosing where to live. It almost seems like you're trying to say that famous people are actually real people with many of the same values and concerns as me.cause of Hollyweird.Allicrombie
I have seen some crazy stuff there.
If I were to visit again, the only places I would want to visit is the Rainbow Bar and Grill and the Whiskey a Go-Go.
[QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"]Id live in Munich. And Venice, Italy.black_chamber99

because according to people ITT, you'd move to a place that's more a central entertainment hub, so going off your european theme it would be london or paris

You would be correct to say that he/she is more likely to live in an entertainment hub. You're incorrect in generalizing him/her.Now, why and how could you possibly say that?[QUOTE="EagleEyedOne"][QUOTE="black_chamber99"]

got something against london?
The great actor Elijah Wood recently moved from Los Angeles to Austin. I am guessing that Austin is on its way to being a major international cultural center that will compete with other such centers in California and New York.Laihendii've heard Austin is very liberal
I live in the 4th largest city in the U.S.
I prefer it because, while it's large, it also has some small town areas.
