I just can't understand this, I have for as long as I can remember heard people praise Woody Allen, yet I can't see where all the praise is coming from. He is releasing a new movie, that I think is called "Vicky Christina Barcelona" and I have to say, it looks quite awful. The whole point of the trailer I saw was two girls and a guy at what looked like a cafe and the guy basically just said "We're going to have sex."/trailer. I was like "Am I supposed to be interested because the guy said he and those two girls are going to have sex? Where the heck is the story?". So can anyone tell me why Woody Allen has gotten so much praise for his film work?
He's made some sweet movies in the past, i don't know why he's still at it though.killyou060606
What movies were the sweet one's? I have tried to watch some of his work in the past because of all the praise he has got, but I couldn't keep interested, at the time I thought it was just because I was a kid.

"Manhattan", "Annie Hall", "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex* But Were Afraid to Ask", and "Crimes and Misdemeanors" for starters. Just because you don't enjoy his films doesn't mean they aren't good.
I agree with you on one point though, his latest films are pretty poor.
