Why do people say your HighSchool years are the greatest years of your life?

Look, I've been in 9th grade for a while now, I'm not being emo or a typical deppressed teenager or anything, but what is really so interesting about HighSchool that makes it the best years of your life? Why do people keep throwing that in my face?

I've been wondering that myself. I'm a freshman, too, and so far, my life has never been worse, and that's saying something.Crypto138

Because lots of people who have excessive fun in high school are those that end up in dead-end jobs with a whore-ish wife and a bunch of unwanted kids to feed. Of course, that is exaggerated and a vague generalization, but you get the idea.

I've only been in college for about a month, but it beats the Hell out of high school so far. Best years of my life my ass. High school was the worst time in my life.

I used to wonder the same thing, but once I graduated, it got worse. So they were some of the best years. Nothing beats childhood though.

Don't worry about that at all! Life after high school is entirely what you make of it. Once you reach 18 you have all of the rights and priveledges of an adult (except for certain things such as purchasing alcohol until you are 21, depending on where you live). This means that you will be in the position to guide your own life, as you see fit. Life after high schoolcan kick life in high school's butt.

It's kinda funny.

You tend to appreciate the people you meet, the teachers you have, and the majority of things in high school once you're done with it.

I'm a Junior in high school, and I look back on my freshman and sophmore year, and I miss those years alot. They were very fun, and my teachers were amazing. Now I have to deal with juggling a part time job and doing good since Junior Year grades count more, and ACTs and SATs coming up. It's hard, and this ain't even college yet. > >

Listen man, im a senior in high school this year. It hits you your senior year that this is your final days in which you have no real responsibilities. Life gets harder after high school. I wish i spent my high school years better than i did (from 9th to 10th grade i did nothing but play video games).

Live it up while you still can dude. Senior year is really fun also, so enjoy that when it comes around also. Live it up!
