Why do people think Avenged Sevenfold is pure garbage?

Honestly. They have/had really good talent in their bad. I can understand " yea you know, they're not really my taste. or Idont like their style" but i dont understand how you guys think they're talentless. They perform just as good live as they do on records. Unlike some bands...

When I first saw a Tokio Hotel music video I thought "Hmm, their singer's kinda hot" and then I found out their singer is a "man" for that reason I hate them.

Haven't the slightest clue, it was just on my tv randomly one day.

I have no idea. I went to one of their concerts once, and I enjoyed it.

I love Avenged, they're one of my guilty pleasures. Like Paramore, who I still don't understand my love for.

I've listened to them a few times, don't like or dislike them. I do really like the song M. Shadows did with Slash though.

I went to my first live show since NSYNC ( mom and sister dragged me when i was little) and it was astounding. Disturbed played their too and i like a couple of their songs. THey both performed really well. But for blackveil brides or w.e i think they're just trying to stand out by having that image. Dislike bands taht do that sorry. Not saying they suck but ya lol

I like them, and I only listen to Classic Rock and Jam Bands most of the time.

I'm not really into metalcore as it is, but I can't stand their singer's voice. It's grating.D_Battery

playing as good live as you sound on record doesn't mean you have talent. Having a fairly simple and un-onriginal album and playing it perfectly live isn't much of an accomplishment, imo. I don't think you are wrong to listen to them, I just prefer my music with a little more atmosphere, progressive song-writing, etc.

Well, I think they are not bad...

They've clearly got instrumental talent, I just hate the music that they play.

I still dont think theyre metal or for metal listeners

their singer has one of the most annoying voices ever.. Their song writing ranges from really stock/boring to flat out annoying and the lyrics are laughable because you can just tell they think they are all SOOO cool even when its some of the cheesiest stuff you can put in a song

I will admit they do have talented guitar players and their drummer is pretty good but that doesnt make a good band in my opinion.

I liked playing Queen and the Harlot..or whatever it's name on Guitar Hero and the song "Almost Easy" is a personal fave of mine. It's on my "Music to plow through traffic on my way to work" playlist.

But outside of that, I haven't heard much of their stuff, and can't say that I'm a definte fan. But I've no problem with 'em.

I actually really liked city of evil and their self titled album. There new album just does not seem to engage me as much as the last two did
